'Tomorrow' Star Kim Hee Sun Leaves Statement With Bold Transformation
To match the original webtoon character in the upcoming drama "Tomorrow," Kim Hee Sun made a bold transformation with her brand new pink hair.
"Tomorrow" is based on the webtoon of the same name that centers around Choi Joon Woong's (SF9 Rowoon), who gets into a tragic accident while looking for a job. He then crosses paths with grim reapers Goo Ryun (Kim Hee Sun) and Lim Ryung Goo (Yoon Ji On), who work together to save lives of those who want to commit suicide.
"Tomorrow" marks the actress' first work with SF9 Rowoon and Yoon Ji On. In a photoshoot with Vogue, Kim Hee Sun strikes a pose for the camera with her eccentric hyperpop fashion, enticing everyone's eyes.
After the pictorial, she sat down in a brief interview with Vogue. When asked why she chose the drama, Kim Hee Sun revealed that she fell in love with the script, to the extent where she wanted to meet the original writer.
"Everything is just so hard these days, that's why there's a massive increase in the number of people who are having negative thoughts. There are people, even celebrities around me, who made that extreme choice. It pains me to see tragedies like that," she explains.
"I want to give a positive message to those who want to make huge choices through this drama," Kim Hee Sun added.
'Tomorrow' Actress Kim Hee Sun Reveals She Regrets Trying to Look Pretty
In her three-decade stay in the industry, Kim Hee Sun's recent projects have all been under the same thriller genre such as "Room No. 9" and "Alice." When asked what her current favorite drama is, she revealed that she's a big fan of the megahit series "All of Us Are Dead."
After she attempted a diverse spectrum of roles including the innocent, kind and diligent female character, Kim Hee Sun wanted to try bold roles. Because of this, she guarantees to give a world class performance through "Tomorrow."
Looking back on her career as an actress, Kim Hee Sun shared that she regrets paying attention only to how pretty she was on screen and how much screen time she was getting.
"While acting, our faces can be compromised in some scenes because of the heavy feelings and facial expressions," Kim Hee Sun shared. "But for me, I just wanted to appear pretty on screen."

"Over the course of my career, my mindset and attitude towards work has changed. Now, I participate in work where being pretty is no longer important, but I have to do well in the project," she added.
'Tomorrow' Star Kim Hee Sun On Her Love for Drawing
The actress talked about her hobbies, surprising everyone by revealing that oil painting is one of her own favorites. To Kim Hee Sun, this is her own way of unleashing her bad feelings. When she's in doubt, or extreme feelings wrapped around her heart, she draws.
Kim Hee Sun revealed that she was worried about her art as it's her first hobby after being an actress for a long time. But because of her friends' constant encouragement, she learned how to enjoy it, even drawing without a plan.
"I want to open a small exhibition at a café if given the opportunity," Kim Hee Sun said.
