After the triumphant finale of tvN's "Ghost Doctor," Rain reportedly in talks to appear in a Hollywood project. The singer-actor successfully wrapped up his comeback Kdrama alongside Kim Bum, Uee and APINK's Son Naeun.

Now, the Hallyu star is set to film an upcoming project in the U.S.

Rain to Possibly Join a Hollywood Project

During his interview with Star News for the "Ghost Doctor" finale, the OG South Korean heartthrob talked about his next activities.

He expressed confidence regarding the upcoming project lineup for him in Hollywood, saying "I'm currently discussing these projects and I have a good feeling that I will be able to sign a contract."

To recall, after headlining the cast of the 2019 Kdrama "Welcome 2 Life," Rain auditioned for a U.S based project but was canceled because of the health crisis.

If the 39-year-old star officially joins the cast, this will be his second Hollywood project.

To recall, Rain starred in the 2009 neo-noir martial arts film "Ninja Assassin," directed by James McTeigue.

The South Korean actor took on the role of Raizo, a member of a clan known for being assassins and worked alongside co-stars Naomie Harris, Japanese karate champion and actor Sho Kosugi and more.

Interestingly, the singer-actor also spoke about how K-contents and Hallyu changed the public's perception of Korea.

Moreover, he went on and praised the third-generation South Korean stars, whom he described as "amazing juniors" for "taking first place in the global market," adding that he is "so proud" for Hallyu's achievement in the 2020s.

As the interview continued, Rain spoke about his family's thoughts regarding his Kdrama comeback.

As mentioned, it took two years for him to appear on the small screen after the 2019 series "Welcome 2 Life."

In the tvN fantasy medical series, he played the role of egoistic and self-centered cardiothoracic surgeon Cha Young Min who fell into a coma after an accident.

Interestingly, the singer-actor dishes out his wife's reaction towards the Kdrama.

Rain's wife monitors each other, but they never talk about work.

According to the actor, when they are at home, the couple "don't talk about work much" as much as possible, but make sure to update each other once in a while.

When asked if his family watches "Ghost Doctor," Rain explained that the kids could watch the series due to its late timeslot.

For the "Ghost Doctor" finale, the tvN Monday and Tuesday series garnered its highest viewership rating of 7.953 percent for its nationwide ratings.

Moreover, he also expresses his gratitude towards Kim Bum, Uee and APINK's Son Naeun, who became his friends in real life.
