After days of battling COVID-19, Park Seo Joon officially resumes his activities, including the upcoming movie "Dream" with IU. According to media outlets, the South Korean heartthrob reportedly left the country to film the sports theme project in Hungary.

Following the announcement of Park Seo Joon's agency Awesome ENT, confirming that the actor was diagnosed for COVID-19, the incident raised concern if this would affect his upcoming activities and could join the production overseas.

Thankfully, after spending days in quarantine, the "Itaewon Class" star recovered from the virus and set to continue his activities.

To recall, his label shared that the actor tested positive using self-testing kits. It was done before his scheduled activities on the said week.

As part of the health protocol, he also took a PCR test which turned out to be positive.

Due to this, the agency halted all his schedule, noting that the 33-year-old star was "taking the necessary measures to quarantine and receive treatment in keeping with the guidelines set by government health authorities."

Moreover, AWESOME Ent also shared that Park Seo Joon "has completed three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine" and was not experiencing "no special symptoms during his recovery period.

What We Know So Far About Park Seo Joon and IU's Movie 'Dream'

Park Seo Joon's new movie "Dream" is his return to the big screen and among his lineup projects for 2022.

Helmed by "Extreme Job" and "Be Melodramatic" director Lee Byung Hun, the upcoming film is a mix of sports, drama and comedy that follows the story of a professional soccer player named Yoon Hong Dae played by the "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim" star.

He used to be a top-notch athlete but was put on disciplinary probation due to an unexpected incident.

With this, Yoon Hong Dae becomes the coach of a soccer team aiming to enter the annual international event known as the Homeless World Cup.

Viewers are set to witness his love-hate relationship with the group but will learn to warm up after seeing their loyalty and determination.

Meanwhile, IU's character Lee So Min is a producing director who wants to create a documentary that highlights the interesting story of Yoon Hong Dae's team.

Apart from the duo, "Dream" cast members include Kim Jong Soo, Ko Chang Seok from "Memorist," "Money heist" star Lee Hyun Woo and Baek Ji Won as Park Seo Joon's mother.

Aside from his K-dramas and films in Korea, the 33-year-old star is set to make his Hollywood debut through the "Captain Marvels 2: The Marvels."

In September 2021, the actor was spotted at Incheon International Airport, raising speculation that he was flying out of the country to film the MCU movie.

Park Seo Joon's agency immediately released a statement confirming his activity but dodged the question regarding his upcoming project.

In a statement obtained by the Korean news portal, his label thanked the fans for their support towards the actor, but as for the project, AWESOME Ent mentioned that they "plan to reveal the details of the movie at a later date."
