Ahn Woo Yeon and Yang Byung Yeol Test Positive for COVID-19
Media outlet stated on March 7 that the ongoing KBS series "Gentleman and Lady" is set to end because of the increasing confirmed cases of COVID-19 among its cast and crew members.
On the same day, actors Yang Byung Yeol and Ahn Woo Yeon were confirmed to have been infected by the virus.
Ahn Woo Yeon's agency released a statement regarding his condition:
"Actor Ahn Woo Yeon tested positive in the self-test kit during preemptive self-isolation due to overlapping movements with the confirmed patient."
The agency added that the actor is currently in self-quarantine.
On the other hand, Yang Byung Yeol's agency, NPO Entertainment, also made a statement saying that even though the actor already completed his third vaccination, he still got the virus.
Prior to them, lead stars Lee Se Hee and Oh Hyun Kyung also tested positive at the beginning of March.
Increasing COVID-19 Cases Might Cause 'Gentleman and Lady' to Conclude its Broadcast in Advance
Due to the ongoing cases, the filming of KBS drama "Gentleman and Lady" has been suspended multiple times.
In particular, concerns are growing as the series is about to end. The weekend drama originally prepared 52 episodes in total, and 46 episodes already aired on primetime.

It was confirmed that the script had up to 50 episodes, only making the drama conclude its broadcast in advance.
Schedule could still change depending on the management. The production team aims to air the last episode on March 27.
KBS and the drama's production are yet to release their official statement regarding the news.
'Gentleman and Lady' Continues to Reign on Primetime
KBS drama "Gentleman and Lady" is consistent in getting high viewership ratings on its slot. Its latest episode recorded an average rating of 34 percent nationwide, proving its reign as the most-watched show on Saturdays.
It tells the story of Lee Young Kook (Ji Hyun Woo), a widower with three kids. He is still not over his wife's passing. He then decides to hire Park Dan Dan (Lee Se Hee) as a live-in tutor for his children, but unexpectedly falls in love with her.
Catch the remaining episodes of "Gentleman and Lady" every Saturday and Sunday only on KBS at 7:55 p.m. (KST).
