Cho Yi Hyun in Talks to Play Kang Mi Ro in 'Vampire Chef'
According to the outlet, Cho Yi Hyun's agency, Artist Company, hints that they have received the offer and mentioned that the "Vampire Chef" is "one of the works that have been proposed" for the actress but is still "under discussion."
If the actress accepts the offer, she is set to take the role of Kang Mi Ro, a childhood friend of half-vampire Hong Ki Joon.
The upcoming webtoon-based K-drama follows the story of the master chef, Ji Joon, a vampire that thirsts for human blood.
Due to unexpected circumstances, he met his first victim, Mi Ro, at his restaurant and wanted to taste her blood once again. Unfortunately, unlike his "first bite," it doesn't taste the same.
This is where Chef Hong will put his culinary skills to good use--by offering her scrumptious delicacies and preparing a most succulent meal for himself.
Following the cast update, "Vampire Chef" is set to start production this March and is expected to air in the second half of 2022.
Cho Yi Hyun Took Inspiration from 'Twilight' Movie to Play Choi Nam Ra
The upcoming webtoon-based K-drama will be Cho Yi Hyun's follow-up project after the mega-hit K-zombie series "All of Us Are Dead."
Viewers were impressed with her stellar performance as class president Choi Nam Ra, portraying the cold yet kindhearted "hambie" a.k.a half-human and half-zombie.

Interestingly, she revealed that an American movie became her source of inspiration to portray the character.
In her interview with iMBC, the rising star named the Hollywood movie "Twilight" to get ideas of what zombies looked like, saying, "I watched the movie 'Twilight' and decided on my own that they would have a vampire vibe."
Moreover, she admitted that playing the role of hambie is quite challenging since it involves "going back and forth between her zombie side and her human side."
To perfectly portray this, Cho Yi Hyun mentioned that she took 'zombie lessons' from a choreographer and "learned the choreography" how to properly bend her fingers, twist her neck, frown just to look like one.
Moreover, she also mentioned that her role in the Netflix series was different from the previous projects that she has done.
Apart from "All of Us Are Dead," Cho Yi Hyun also appeared in "Bad Papa," "Metamorphosis," and "Hospital Playlist," where he took on the role of first-year medical intern Jang Yoon Bok.
She also starred in the latest "School" series alongside WEi's Kim Yo Han, Choo Young Woo, Kim Kang Min, Seo Hee Seon, and Hwang Bo Reum Byeol.
