Nam Joo Hyuk consistently steals viewers' hearts by playing Baek Yi Jin in tvN's romance-youth drama "Twenty Five, Twenty One," which reigns no.1 on weekend primetime on its time slots.
He graced Esquire Korea's April cover issue. The actor talked about his ongoing series and the experiences he had with the cast and crew.
Nam Joo Hyuk is Dior Man's Ambassador and he exhibited a boyfriend wannabe image as he was clad with the newest collection of the famous brand.
In the series, the "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" star is an alumnus of Taeyang high school, where Na Hee Do (Kim Tae Ri), Ko Yu Rim (WJSN Bona), Ji Woong (Choi Hyun Wook), and Seungwan (Lee Yoo Myoung) also attend.
Nam Joo Hyuk Shares His Love Confessions
Due to the financial crisis that his family experienced, Yi Jin pursued to fulfill his dream to become a reporter. The magazine interview and photoshoot happened after episode 8 aired. In connection to a scene where Na Hee Do said to Baek Yi Jin, "I have to have you," the breakout star was asked about how he confessed his feelings during his younger years.

In response, Nam Joo Hyuk said that he has done many confessions when he was still in kindergarten and elementary. According to him, if you like someone, go and have the courage to confess your feelings so you would not regret it in the end.
Nam Joo Hyuk Acts Naturally and Comfortably in 'Twenty Five, Twenty One'
The K-drama hunk also shared the struggles he encountered throughout his acting career. "I played a lot of youth dramas before. Sometimes I lose motivation to show a new side of myself."
Due to this, Nam Joo Hyuk struggled to work on his character in "2521."
But thanks to his fellow actors and drama director, he was able to learn new things from them. This helped him maintain his character as Baek Yi Jin.
On the other hand, the K-heartthrob expressed his satisfaction in the filming set of "Twenty Five, Twenty One," which had a bright atmosphere. Joo Hyuk also spent time with the staff and co-stars playing table tennis and foot volleyball during the break.
The positive atmosphere on the set was good and made the lead actor act comfortably even on the spot. He also added how natural his comedic acting is in the series. Nam Joo Hyuk keeps his acting natural for the viewers to easily connect with his emotions.
