"Save Me" season 1 kept the viewers at the edge of their seats. The same goes for "Save Me 2" as it features new stories and cast members.

In 2019, OCN released a sequel to the mystery thriller series starring Seo Ye Ji, Ok Taec Yeon, and Woo Do Hwan. However, the broadcast network delivered a more intense and mind-boggling season 2 with new lead stars.

"Save Me 2" is headlined by Uhm Tae Goo as the trouble maker Kim Min Chul. He has a younger sister is Kim Young Sun, played by Esom.

Interestingly, the sequel also has a new villain through Chun Ho Jin as elder Choi alongside Kim Young Min as Pastor Sung Cheol Woo.

In the drama, Uhm Tae Goo's character is a former judo prodigy who was caught up in a series of twisted incidents in his life. It prompted him to serve his time in jail.

As soon as he got out, he realized that his neighborhood had gone different. It even welcomed strangers like Choi Jang Ro, also known as Elder Choi.

The locals did not know that behind his image, he is a sneaky con artist. His goal was to fraud the villagers of their resettlement compensation. Only Min Chul saw his true colors, but his neighbors would not believe him because of his past.

Almost three years since the OCN K-drama was released, here are the updates on "Save Me 2" cast starring Uhm Tae Goo, Esom, Kim Young Min, and Chun Ho Jin.

The 38-year-old star proved his versatility as an actor in "Save Me 2." He perfectly synced with his character Kim Min Chul.

After the OCN series, he joined as one of the lead stars in another thriller mystery under tvN "Hometown" in 2021 alongside "Minari" actress Han Ye Ri and veteran actor Yoo Jae Myung.

In the same year, Uhm Tae Goo made a cameo in "Dr. Brain" appearing in episodes 2 to 4 and a crime movie "Night in Paradise" opposite "Vincenzo" leading lady Jeon Yeo Been.

Although he does not have much K-drama lineup just yet, his agency, Prain TPC, updates fans with his activities. This includes an endorsement with Hiber.

Esom

Like her co-star, Esom moved the viewers with her stellar performance. Kim Young Sun, her character, is tough on the outside but a softie on the inside.

Following the success of "Save Me 2," the 32-year-old actress returned to the small screen after two years to star with Lee Je Hoon in "Taxi Driver."

Considered as one of the top rating SBS K-drama in 2021, Esom took on the role of prosecutor Kang Ha Na.

Despite viewers looking forward to reprising her role in the much-awaited sequel, Esom's agency Artist Company confirmed that she would not star in "Taxi Driver 2" due to conflict of schedule.

This is because she has been confirmed to star in "Black Knight" and three upcoming films. First is the forthcoming melodrama movie "Starlight is Falling," followed by "Single in Seoul." She is in talks to join Jeon Do Yeon's Netflix series Kill Bok Soon.
