Coupang Play teases fans with the first still cuts of Bae Suzy's new drama "Anna."

Viewers will get to see the singer-actress return to the small screen and play a different character who lives a double life.

Helmed by "A Single Rider" director Lee Joo Young, "Anna" is a thriller mystery series that follows the story of a mysterious woman who believes in a fictional world she created.

Coupang Play Introduces Bae Suzy's Character in 'Anna'

The 27-year-old beauty took on the role of Yoo Mi, a woman who was caught up in her own lies. She ended up living someone else's life.

In the first still cuts, Bae Suzy highlights Yoo Mi's two characters living two different lives.

The first teaser featured her on the bus harboring a weary expression as she looked out the window.

On the other hand, the second still cut illustrates a glamorous Yoo Mi, who is all dolled up. She wore a white matchy tweet top and a blazer.

These still cuts entice fans with Bae Suzy's never before seen transformation. It raised curiosity about how she will portray two conflicting characters.

Joining Bae Suzy as lead stars are Jung Eun Chae from "L.U.C.A.: The Beginning" as Hyun Joo. Kim Joon Han will play Ji Hoon. Park Ye Young will play Ji Won.

'Anna' Wraps Up Filming, Bae Suzy and Director Talks About Their Experience

Coupang Play gears up for the much-awaited release of Bae Suzy's K-drama comeback.

According to Korean media outlet Xport News, "Anna" has officially concluded its production on March 23 and aims to release its premiere in Summer exclusively on Coupang Play.

In the same report, Bae Suzy spoke about her thoughts on playing her character Yoo Mi and admitted that "there were many difficult moments," but was "fortunate to meet such a character and work."

Every moment was a challenge for the singer-actress," but she sees her new K-drama as "meaningful" work. Despite the difficulties playing a dual role, Bae Suzy says that she enjoyed filming it.

To recall, "Anna" is her comeback to the small screen two years after the smash hit K-drama "Start-Up" with Nam Joo Hyuk and Kim Seon Ho aired.

Meanwhile, director Lee Joo Young expressed his gratitude towards the actors and staff for their hard work and for doing "their best until the end."

He vowed to put all his heart "into the remaining post-production so that the story of the various emotions and characters of "Anna" can reach viewers' hearts."

In 2021, after Bae Suzy was confirmed to join, Star News shared that the thriller mystery series was initially planned to be a film. It turned out to be an eight-part episode K-drama due to its interesting storyline.

At the time, Bae Suzy also revealed why she chose to become a part of the project. She said that she trusted director Lee Joo Young and the drama's script.
