This April, Netflix is set to release a slew of highly anticipated and star-studded K-dramas and movies.

It will be a busy month as the streaming giant is about to release exciting series offering a variety of genres.

From small screen comeback of favorite stars to the long-awaited premieres, here are 5 K-dramas and movies premiering on Netflix this April 2022.

'Tomorrow'

The action fantasy K-drama which stars Kim Hee Sun, SF9 Rowoon, Lee Soo Hyuk and Yoon Ji On, follows the story of grim reapers whose mission is to save people from their intentions to commit suicide.

SF9 Rowoon took on the role of rookie grim reaper Choi Joon Woong who joined the Crisis Management Team Goo Ryun (Kim Hee Sun) and Lim Ryoong Goo (Yoon Ji On).

Meanwhile, Lee Soo Hyuk plays Guiding Management Team elite leader Park Joon Gil, whose values and beliefs are different from Goo Ryun's group.

Exclusively airing on MBC and Netflix, "Tomorrow" release date is set on April 1, airing every Friday and Saturday.

'Green Mother's Club'

From action-fantasy, Netflix will release a comforting K-drama about life and friendship through "Green Mother's Club."

Son Ye Jin's K-drama "Thirty-Nine" is about to bid farewell. The upcoming series stars Lee Yo Won, Choo Ja Hyun, Jang Hye Jin and Joo Min Kyung, will deliver an entertaining story about motherhood, friendship and growth of five mothers.

"Green Mother's Club" will also illustrate stories of individual character and their journey toward motherhood.

The upcoming K-drama will premiere on April 6 through JTBC and Netflix and will be the newest Wednesday and Thursday series.

'My Liberation Notes'

Another new release under JTBC is the life drama "My Liberation Notes."

Headlined by Kim Ji Won, Lee Min Ki, and Lee El, the trio transforms as siblings attempt to escape their challenging lives. They cross paths with the mysterious outsider named Mr. Gu, played by Son Seok Gu.

"My Liberation Notes" can also be streamed via Netflix starting April 9.

'Our Blues'

One of the highly anticipated K-dramas this April, "Our Blues," is an omnibus-style series that depicts the story of various characters living on Jeju Island.

The romance drama features reconnection, friendship, and love among the locals and new people who will arrive on the island.

"Our Blues" boasts a star-studded cast that includes Lee Byung Hun, Shin Min Ah, Kim Woo Bin, Uhm Jung Hwa, Han Ji Min, Cha Seung Won and Lee Jung Eun.

Scheduled to air on April 9, fans will be hooked on this newest weekend K-drama exclusively airing on Netflix and tvN.

'Yaksha: Ruthless Operations'

From Kdramas, Netflix also offers a new Korean spy action thriller "Yaksha: Ruthless Operations," starring Sol Kyung Gu and "Squid Game" star Pae Hae Soo.

Shenyang, China is known for "the highest density of spies." It depicts the story of a secret operations team called Black Ops, who works under the National Intelligence Service (NIS.)

It illustrates the conflict's secret operations team, special inspector, prosecutor, and intelligence agents from various countries.

Joining the duo are Yang Dong Geun, Lee El, Song Jae Rim, and GOT7's Jinyoung.

"Yaksha: Ruthless Operations" will air on April 8 with a running time of 2 hours and 8 mins.
