tvN's 'Mr. Queen' Becomes a Hit in Japan

According to Insight Korea on April 18, "Mr. Queen," starring Shin Hye Sun and Kim Jung Hyun, is currently trending in Japan. The romantic series just concluded its broadcast last week on the Japanese channel WOWOW and it immediately topped the channel's official website for popular programs.

As it continues to trend in Japan, the pre-order for the drama DVD, which started on April 16, also topped the Hot New Releases in Korean TV Dramas list on Amazon Japan.

Furthermore, "Mr. Queen" also ranked sixth in the daily sales of video products worldwide on a Japanese shopping site, Rakuten, which shows the ongoing popularity of the series in Japan.

In addition, many were surprised by the unexpected success of "Mr. Queen" almost a year and a half after it aired in Korea from December 2020 to February 2021. Its last episode was able to receive a 17.4 percent rating nationwide.

Even though it became controversial due to history distortion and got domestic preview suspended, Shin Hye Sun's lead drama eventually received love from the viewers.

Her counterpart Kim Jung Hyun is finally back as he is confirmed to return with the new independent film "Secret."

Meanwhile, Na In Woo immediately landed his first lead role in KBS' historical series "River Where The Moon Rises." Since then, the rising actor became booked and busy with new projects. He has two forthcoming K-dramas, namely "The Jinx's Lover" and "Her Bucket List."

In addition, Na In Woo is now a mainstay in the famous variety show "2 Days and 1 Night."
