"Tomorrow" is based on the webtoon of the same name by Llama. In the drama, Lee Soo Hyuk took on the role of the cold-blooded grim reaper named Park Joong Gil.

Moreover, he is also Goo Ryun's (Kim Hee Sun) former boss, who turned out to be his biggest rival.
The webtoon shows that Park Joong Gil possesses a sharp stare and mysterious aura.
In the original content, the character has noticeable dark circles under his eyes due to his line of work.
Park Joong Gil's webtoon character also illustrated sleek hair parted at the side. The same goes for Lee Soo Hyuk's styling in the K-drama.
Over Twitter, viewers pointed out how the actor perfectly fit to the character.
One even mentioned that a scene from "Tomorrow" looked straight out of the webtoon.

Viewers are completely drawn to every episode of "Tomorrow," as well as the character's unique personality.
Rowoon, who played newbie grim reaper Choi Joon Woong, showed off his charm. Lee Soo Hyuk went completely opposite and flaunted his role's mysterious side.
In his previous interview, ahead of the drama's premiere, the South Korean heartthrob dishes out what made him decide to play Park Joong Gil.
As noted by IMBC, the 33-year-old actor said that he "liked the story and message of the original webtoon" and had fun "watching the directors' productions."
In addition, what prompted Lee Soo Hyuk to take the role is seeing the aspects of Park Joong Gil from the webtoon, believing that he could portray his character "in a new way."
He does this by "trying to act restrainedly to maintain his tension" to portray the character perfectly."
Based on the webtoon, Park Joong Gil's character is not included as the main character. In the K-drama, he is one of the lead stars.
Moreover, another difference between the webtoon and the series is his relationship with Goo Ryun.
As seen in the earlier episode of "Tomorrow," Park Joong Gil and Goo Ryun used to be lovers when they were young, but their romance was tainted because of an unexpected incident.
