The upcoming tvN series stars Goo Kyo Hwan as the eccentric archaeologist Jung Ki Hoon, who is obsessed with supernatural phenomena.
He is set to go against bizarre and mysterious forces with Lee Soo Jin, a skilled pattern cryptanalyst who gets caught up in an unfortunate disaster.
"Monstrous" follows the story of a group of people who were trapped by a curse.
The whole town was messed up by disaster following a discovery of a mysterious statue of Buddha, whom others claimed to be possessed by an evil spirit. Jung Ki Hoon is on a hunt to solve it by chasing after the unknown creature.
During Goo Kyo Hwan's interview with the publication, he dishes out his experience working with the female lead. The 39-year-old versatile actor revealed Shin Hyun Bin's great sense of humor.
He tells Harper's Bazaar Korea that it made it easier for him to work with the actress because of her personality.
"The humor made the scene very comfortable because she was considerate of the other person," the actor mentioned, adding that Shin Hyun Bin "joked a lot during the waiting time."
"Mostrous" is the first project he shared with the actress. She catapulted to fame after starring in the smash hit medical K-drama "Hospital Playlist," portraying the role of medical resident Jang Gyeo Wool.

Interestingly, aside from the duo, the "Monstrous" cast includes Kim Ji Young as the police chief and rising star Nam Da Reum as her son Han Do Kyung.
In addition, joining the upcoming series is Kwak Dong Yeon as the troublemaker Kwak Yong Joo. "The Penthouse" actor Park Ho San took the role of governor Kwon Jong Soo.
Viewers are looking forward to the chemistry and thrilling experience presented by the upcoming series. "Monstrous" release date is scheduled to hit the small screens on April 29 via tvN.
Goo Kyo Hwan to Return in Netflix's 'D.P' Season 2
After the supernatural thriller series, Goo Kyo Hwan will reprise his role as military officer Han Ho Yul in the highly anticipated K-drama "D.P 2" with Jung Hae In.
To recall, the action-packed series was confirmed to be renewed last December 2021 after gaining an overwhelming response from viewers despite the controversy.
Following the confirmation for the second season, Netflix is yet to announce the actors who will join the two lead stars.
