For Kim Go Eun, the actress showed heartwarming support for low-income families by donating on Children's Day.
As obtained by Newsis, the actress' agency, BH Entertainment, shared that the "Yumi's Cells" star has donated 50 million won or around 40,000 USD to Seoul National University Children's Hospital.
The donation will help the patients with their hospital needs, especially those who are diagnosed with severe diseases and are struggling to get help with their medications.
To recall, the actress also celebrated Children's day in 2021 by donating to hospitals that cater to sick kids.
Meanwhile, Hallyu Star Lee Young Ae took time to narrate a 6 part episode EBS documentary that focuses on "Children's Rights."
It is a documentary that highlights and investigates the current state of children's human rights in Korea in celebration of 100th Children's Day.
As cited by Osen, Lee Young Ae expressed how grateful she is to be a part of a meaningful project.
"The 100th Children's Day. I am grateful to be able to participate in something meaningful at this point in time," she said.
She added, "I think it will be an opportunity to look into the lives of children that we did not know well and to think about what adults should do for them."
The actress, who is also known to support social issues, promised to donate all her filming fees for this documentary to children who are victims of abuse.
Moreover, the actress hoped that the government and society would pay more attention to those children who experience abuse.
