Seo In Guk returns to the spotlight as KBS2's upcoming Monday and Tuesday drama "Minamdang" (literal title) shares its first look at his new major starring role!

The drama is a comedy-mystery series that follows the story of a male shaman who was once a criminal profiler. In the drama, Seo In Guk takes on the role of Nam Han Joo, an excellent shaman with a persuasive tongue.

The newly-published stills capture the actor's transformation into his new acting role, donning a trendy coat.

In the next photo, Seo In Guk is clad in an elegant wine-colored suit as he flaunts his sharp gaze, which hints at his past career as a determined profiler.

Seo In Guk captivates the audience's attention as he returns to the acting scene with an unconventional starring role. Furthermore, the actor's charm synchronizes with his character, amplifying excitement.

'Minamdang' K-Drama Details and What We Know So Far

The drama is based on the comedy-mystery novel of the same name written by writer Jung Jae Ha.

Joining Seo In Guk in the lead cast is Oh Yeon Seo, who works as a violent crimes unit detective and former colleague of the actor.

Notable stars like Kwak Si Yang, Kang Mi Na, Jung Man Sik and more also participate to strengthen the upcoming series.

Filming for the new series is still on-going, which was delayed multiple times due to the never-ending threat of COVID-19.

"Minamdang" is helmed together by director Go Jae Hyun and writer Park Hye Jin. It is scheduled to air in June 2022 on KBS every Monday and Tuesday.

Besides the KBS drama, Seo In Guk also gears up for his silver screen comeback film "Wolf Hunting." It's an action thriller film that showcases the process of escorting criminals between the Philippines and South Korea.
