The police are investigating the 21-year-old actress for violating the Road Traffic Act. If proven guilty, she will be charged with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol.
Kim Sae Ron Caught Drunk Driving in Gangnam, Seoul
Reports noted that the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul received more than six calls on May 18 notifying them about a traffic situation involving Kim Sae Ron's car caught swerving on the road.
Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered a vehicle rammed into the roadside near Gangnam's Hakdong intersection. In addition, reports also state that the actress attempted to escape the incident.
Moreover, Channel A shared that the South Korean actress' SUV crashed into a guard rail and a street tree more than 3 times before police officers caught her.
As a protocol, the police conducted a breathalyzer test on Kim Sae Ron but requested to be transferred to the nearest hospital to have her blood tested instead.
Meanwhile, the police "will confirm the exact charges after the test results are out."

Who is Kim Sae Ron?
The 21-year-old actress started out as a former child star.
Kim Sae Ron made her acting debut in 2011, landing a supporting role in the rom-com K-drama "Can You Hear My Heart" and played the role of young Hwang Jung Eum.

After confirmation that "The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim" will return for season 2, Kim Sae Ron is rumored to join the cast of Netflix's "Bloodhounds."
The webtoon-based series will also feature Woo Do Hwan, Lee Sang Yi, and veteran actors Heo Joon Ho and Park Sung Woong as lead stars.
