On May 18, the actress got involved in a car accident after her SUV crashed into a guard rail and electric transformer box that caused a power outage and heavy traffic in the vicinity.

Due to this, Kim Sae Ron's agency, Gold Medalist, released an apology statement on behalf of the actress.

As obtained by the local outlet, TV Report, the talent management apologized for the delay in their statement and explained that they needed to confirm facts regarding the incident.

Moreover, Gold Medalists expressed their apologies "for causing concern with the accident," adding that "Kim Sae Ron is deeply reflecting on her wrongdoing."

In addition, the actress also "conveys her apology to the many people who were harmed and inconvenienced" and to those "people who are working hard to repair the damaged public structures."

With this, she also promised to pay and restore the damages, as well as cooperate with the ongoing investigation.

Kim Sae Ron Withdraws from SBS' 'Trolley'

Following her apology statement released through her agency, Kim Sae Rin reportedly dropped out from her upcoming series "Trolley."

In a report cited by Herald Pop, the 21-year-old actress is withdrawing from the K-drama where she plays one of the lead stars.

According to Studio S, the production team behind "Trolley" said, "Kim Sae Ron's agency announced her intention to leave with an apology and accepted it."

Kim Sae Ron's new drama is under SBS, which follows the story of a lawmaker's wife who is eager to bury her past.

"Trolley" highlights the struggles of a married couple who keeps hiding their past but eventually was brought to light.

In the drama, Kim Sae Ron plays Kim Soo Bin; she will be joined by Kim Hyun Joo, "My Name" star Pae Hee Soon, Kim Mu Yeol, Ryu Hyun Kyung, and more.

While "Trolley" hasn't started with their production, the actress' other new project with Netflix, "Bloodhounds," have already begun filming and will have to adjust their schedule because of Kim Sae Ron's car accident and DUI charges.

According to an outlet, speculation rises that the actress will face legal charges if "Bloodhounds" will have to reshoot her scenes. This is for the losses gained by the production due to the damages caused by the refilming.

To recall, the production team behind the Netflix series confirmed that they are "currently in the middle of the filming"; hence "the shooting schedule will be adjusted, and the public schedule will be announced as soon as it is arranged after a thorough discussion."

Netflix's "Bloodhounds" cast includes Woo Do Hwan, Lee Sang Yi, and veteran actors Heo Joon Ho and Park Sung Woong.
