Despite being talented and popular, the hard work and effort of these Korean stars Kim Nam Gil, Song Joong Ki, and more still didn't pay off as they failed to bag awards in numerous big ceremonies.
Song Joong Ki
Considered as part of the A-list actors for his previous big projects from dramas to movies, Song Joong Ki has become the crowd's favorite since he established a name in the industry. He has won trophies for Popular Actor, best couple awards, and more during his early years in the acting field.
In 2016 and 2021, Joong Ki was nominated for Best Actor for his dramas "Descendants of the Sun" and "Vincenzo." However, he failed to bag the awards in those years, yet the actor continues to receive massive support from his fans.
Kim Nam Gil
He has won the Best New Actor in 2010 in the phenomenal series "Queen Seondeok" at the Baeksang Arts Awards. Seems like many have forgotten how great actor Kim Nam Gil is.
He starred in the drama "The Fiery Priest" which received a huge success and his latest drama "Through the Darkness," but no matter how excellent his performances were, the Korean star didn't get any solo awards yet since 2010.
Ji Sung
In 2013, he got his first Best Actor Award for the series "Secret Love." Ji Sung has three Best Actor Awards under his belt and one Daesang for MBC's "Kill Me, Heal Me." He has been in the industry for 23 years and has portrayed multiple roles. However, despite winning the Grand Prize in 2015, the actor has not received a trophy yet from the prestigious Baeksang Arts Awards.
Gladly, fans and viewers appreciate Ji Sung's capabilities as an actor. His acting skills are said to be a legend in the Korean acting industry.
Hyun Bin
The newly married actor is now back on his other entertainment engagements. He is already a household name in Hallyu for his past projects. He became more prominent in the public eye when he starred in "My Name is Kim Sam Soon" and "Secret Garden."
Despite receiving multiple good scripts and giving amazing performances, Hyun Bin failed to get nominations from prestigious awarding ceremonies.
Namgoong Min
Despite receiving big awards at various broadcasting station ceremonies every year, Namgoong Min failed to win the Baeksang Arts Awards for the three years that he has been nominated.
But for the record Namgoong Min bagged major awards in his past dramas for his extraordinary actions such as "Remember," "Good Manager," and "Hot Stove League." Sadly, he wasn't nominated at this year's Baeksang Award Ceremony.
On the other hand, the actor never fails to impress the viewers with his talent and hard work in every drama comeback. From action, romance, and suspense, to comedy, Goong Min can pull off any of them.
Lee Joon Gi
Among the Korean stars mentioned above, it was only Lee Joon Gi who was not nominated at Baeksang and other prestigious ceremonies. But he managed to take home the Daesang at numerous network awards.

Ji Chang Wook
Known for his strong presence on screen, Ji Chang Wook has captivated many with his talent in acting. Unfortunately, he has not been into any prestigious award events yet. But Chang Wook nailed his performances in "Smile Again," "Empress Ki," and "Healer" and took home major trophies in different broadcasting company award ceremonies.
On the other hand, not winning or receiving nominations in prestigious award events are not proof that these Korean actors are not capable of making it big. Doing their passion for acting and making their fans fulfilled and happy with their projects were already the biggest rewards they could ever give and receive to the public.
