GOT7 Jinyoung Talks About Struggles on GQ Australia Interview
The boy group GOT7 made their long-awaited comeback with a self-titled EP on May 23. As part of their promotions, they participated in various interviews.
Park Jinyoung drew attention for his shocking revelation in an interview with GQ Australia. Being one of the talented actors today, who would've thought that he almost came to a point he wanted to leave everything he earned in the entertainment industry?
For the first time, "The Devil Judge" actor revealed he experienced a major personal shift internally. Before the much-awaited group comeback and in-between drama filmings, Jinyoung was quiet and serious, to the point that even his members felt uncomfortable around him.
The celebrity shared:
"In the past few days, I've been playful with my members, that's what's changed. Before, when we went overseas for our schedules, I'd be the quiet and stern one. I was so serious that the members felt uncomfortable around me. I felt like even though I was trying my best during those times, I wasn't being honest."
GOT7 Jinyoung Considers Quitting His Career
Journalist Taylor Glasby, who recently worked with GOT7, said that Jinyoung was unhappy 60-70% of the time, which caused Jinyoung to consider abandoning his career. Mr. Taylor added that Jinyoung decided to stay because he knew that there were people who believed in him, particularly his family, members, and fans.
Thanks to the people around Jinyoung, he was able to recover and seems to be happier and more comfortable now in life and work.

The "He Is Psychometric" star mentioned that last year, he was uncomfortable with his personality. Though it wasn't anyone's fault, Jinyoung admitted that it was him and the way he looked at the world. But after a time of self-reflection, that's when the idol-actor realized that he needed to change to continue doing his crafts as a singer and as an actor.

Meanwhile, when he was asked about his concerns when it comes to acting, he funnily answered that he has no concerns at all.
On the other hand, following his legal drama "The Devil Judge," Jinyoung is back on the small screen with the second installment of TVING's "Yumi's Cells," alongside Kim Go Eun. He also had his Netflix movie debut with "Yaksha: Ruthless Operations" last April.
