BTS member and actor V took the Twitterverse by storm as he teased fans with his new Instagram update.
Here's what happened.
Did BTS V Hint at His Acting Comeback?
While busy preparing for their upcoming comeback this June, BTS V took to social media on May 30 and posted several photos and videos on his Instagram Stories. The Korean star shared his experiences doing skydiving and playing golf, which made fans happy to see Kim Taehyung enjoying outdoor activities.
But among all the posts he shared, many were surprised when the BTS member dropped snippets of Hansung, his character in the historical-romance K-drama "Hwarang."
Clad in an all black Hanbok and donning long hair, the photos immediately made people speculate for Actor V's return.
A few hours later, various hashtags trended worldwide, following the unexpected Instagram update of the idol-actor.
"Hwarang," "Hansung," and "KIM TAEHYUNG" occupied the Twitter trends list as fans expressed their excitement to see a glimpse of Actor V. Though it was just a sneak peek of his previous drama role, people are now looking forward to seeing Kim Taehyung back on the acting field.

Kim Taehyung debuted as an actor in the KBS series "Hwarang" in 2016. It has been almost six years since his last acting project.
'Hwarang' Struggles Viewership Rating
The 2016 Korea drama follows the story of an elite group of young men called Hwarang, who discover their interest, passion, friendship, and love during their stay in the Kingdom of Sill.
Though it composed of multitalented cast members, namely Park Seo Joon, Go Ara, Park Hyung Sik, SHINee's Minho, BTS V, Do Ji Han, Seo Ye Ji, and Jo Yoon Woo, the series struggled to increase viewership ratings and support from the Korean audience since it faced strong competition with the medical-romance series "Dr. Romantic."
However, BTS V's first drama successfully gained popularity in various countries and was loved by fans and viewers.
