Singer-actress IU bags another ambassadorship as she signs a contract with Italian luxury brand Gucci!
On Monday, May 30, Gucci shared a photo of IU dazzling at the red carpet at the 75th Cannes Film Festival wearing an elegant Gucci gown.
The published photo was captioned, "Global Brand Ambassador IU was captured at the 75th Annual Cannes Film Festival wearing a Gucci gown with lace rebrodé petal details on the cuffs, as well as sequin flowers and crystal embellishments on the skirt."
The "Broker" actress has been a South Korean ambassador for the luxury brand since 2020 but this time, Gucci referred to the singer-actress as their global ambassador.

As for the contract signing, the Gucci representative refused to give the exact dates of the contract signing, saying, "Due to the massive competition with other brands, we couldn't reveal when IU signed the global ambassadorship contract."
On the other hand, IU becomes the fourth South Korean star to be hailed as a global brand ambassador for Gucci including EXO Kai, Shin Min Ah, and Lee Jung Jae.

Recently, IU attended the 75th Cannes Film Festival in France along with her fellow actors for their new film "Broker," which was nominated for the Palme d'Or.
The film "Broker," which tells the stories of an illegal adoption of infants in the black market, will hit the theaters nationwide on June 8.
Meanwhile, she steps down from the production of her supposed new drama "Money Game" with Ryu Jun Yeol due to scheduling conflicts.
Chun Woo Hee will be the actress' replacement. At the moment, IU is gearing up for her upcoming film "Dream" with Park Seo Joon.

It is a sports-themed drama that depicts the story of a stubborn and a basket case football player who is set to coach the national football team, a unit of people who have never played football before.
The forthcoming film "Dream" aims to give comfort and beauty to those who aspire to become a football player someday, and give satisfaction and entertainment to the audience.
Apart from the duo, actor Lee Hyun Woo is also part of the main cast. Currently, the film is on its post-production process and it's expected to be released theatrically in the second half of 2022.
