tvN seems unbothered by the mixed reactions of viewers on the newest Kdrama "Eve," which stars Seo Ye Ji, Park Byung Eun, Yoo Sun, and Lee Sang Yeob.
The romance drama recently aired its pilot episode on June 1 but has already received criticism due to its intimate scenes.
"Eve" follows the story of a woman named Lee Ra El, played by Seo Ye Ji, who waited years to execute her revenge against the chaebol family, who was the reason behind her father's death.
In the drama, it features the background of the revenge-driven Lee Ra El and how she and her mother witnessed her father's suffering at the hands of Han Pan Ro's (Jeon Gook Hwan) men.
After escaping South Korea, thanks to human rights lawyer Seo Eun Pyung (Lee Sang Yeob), she promised to return to her homeland with a vengeance.
With this, she changed her name and created a new personality.
Will' Eve' Broadcast Another 19+ Rated Episode?
While "Eve" episode 1 is off to a decent start after garnering 3.644 percent nationwide ratings, the romance drama draws flak for its steamy scenes.
As noted by an outlet, the first two episodes were tagged as R19+ for their mature scenes featuring Seo Ye Ji, Lee Ha Yool, Yoo Sun, and Park Byung Eun.

The scene with Lee Ra El featured an intimate moment between her husband after her tango performance for the school's welcoming ceremony for new members. Viewers pointed out that the particular scene was too excessive for a TV show.
In addition, some also highlighted that the 19+ rating scenes have downgraded the storyline of "Eve."
While the overall series is rated 15+, the same outlet also mentioned that the upcoming episode 4 of the tvN drama will be broadcasted with a one-time rating of 19+.
'Eve' Criticized for Showcasing Huge Age Gap Between Two Characters
It seems like a never-ending issue for the tvN drama as netizens pointed out another blunder of "Eve."
Aside from the intimate scenes, the Wednesday and Thursday Kdrama has been receiving negative comments due to the age gap between the two main characters.
According to a report, an online community is gaining attention after pointing out the age difference between Seo Ye Ji and Park Byung Eun's characters.
Titled "The shocking age gap in the drama 'Eve,'" the post claimed that the huge age gap is "even more problematic than the 19+ rated bed scene."
In the drama, Lee Ra El portrays a 28-year-old ballet teacher who has an only daughter. Meanwhile, Park Byung Eun's Kang Yoon Gyeom role is a 41-year-old CEO of a large conglomerate.
Based on the comments, some pointed out that a woman in her late twenties doesn't live like Lee Ra El, while others also mentioned how they "hate that a man in his forties is in love with a woman in her twenties."
"Eve" episode 3 is scheduled to broadcast on June 8 via tvN, while subtitles are available on Qiyi.
