It's not news that Song Hye Kyo is one of South Korea's Hallyu queens and K-drama godesses. She just effortlessly stands out with her beauty and grace, not to mention her brilliant acting skills that brought her to the top.
As a sought-after superstars, Korean actors would be glad to work with her in a project.
But it is not always the case.
Though they are well-known and respected actors in the industry, these gentlemen, Lee Jung Jae, Jo In Sung, and more unfortunately declined projects with A-list star Song Hye Kyo.

Lee Jung Jae
Originally, this "Squid Game" actor was chosen to play the lead role in the megahit K-drama "Full House." Sadly, Lee Jung Jae rejected the offer because he was not that interested to work on dramas.
Fans were saddened by the news that the top star refused the drama. However, some expressed relief because they said that actor Jung Jae looked a bit mature for Song Hye Kyo at that time, and Rain managed to establish a great chemistry with the actress through the series nevertheless.
Gong Yoo
Seeing him with Song Hye Kyo in one frame would be a dream come true to other fans. As they are both excellent actors in their generation, Gong Yoo and Song Hye Kyo were almost paired to appear in a series.
The actor was offered to join Song Hye Kyo in the 2016 phenomenal K-drama "Descendants of the Sun," penned by the celebrated writer Kim Eun Sook.
Unfortunately, he declined the project for the reason that Gong Yoo is more confident in appearing in movies than dramas.

Eventually, he had the chance to work with writer Kim when he accepted to lead another drama masterpiece "Goblin."
Won Bin
K-drama heartthrob Won Bin, who is known for his series such "Tough Guy's Love!," "Autumn in My Heart," and "Friends," was also considered to star in "Descendants of the Sun."
Since his latest drama was still in 2002, the male star's reason for not accepting the project with Song Hye Kyo was because he doesn't want to return to acting yet.
True to his words, Won Bin has been inactive in dramas for almost two decades. His last film, "The Man From Nowhere," was in 2010, where he snagged not one, not two, but seven Best Actor trophies!
Jo In Sung
Following Won Bin, legendary actor Jo In Sung was the next star who got an offer to play the male lead in "Descendants of the Sun." Others were actually hoping that it might be their reunion after they starred in the romantic melodrama "That Winter, The Wind Blows" in 2013.
The reason he refused to appear in the series is still unknown. Still, thanks to him, he was actually the one who recommended his real-life friend Song Joong Ki in the role instead.
