As of this writing, the post garners over 1 million likes and thousands of comments, with viewers expressing how they are thrilled to watch the new sequel.

On the other hand, some are looking forward to more surprising games and a new cast for "Squid Game" season 2.

Following the teaser, Netflix dropped a message from the creator and director of "Squid Game."

In a lengthy message to fans, Hwang Dong Hyuk expressed his gratitude for how the 9-part episode series took 12 years to create and "12 days to become the most popular Netflix series ever."

Being the creator, director, and executive producer of "Squid Game," he thanked the fans worldwide for "watching and loving" the show.

In addition, Hwang Dong Hyuk also revealed the actors reprising their roles and what to expect in "Squid Game" season 2.

The director once again shared that Siong Gi Hoon, played by Lee Jung Jae, and the Frontman, portrayed by Lee Byung Hyun, will return in the highly anticipated sequel.
