The first half of the year successfully delivered many great dramas that hooked South Korean viewers and K-Drama junkies from all over the world. From "A Business Proposal," "Twenty Five, Twenty One," and most recently, "Money Heist Korea: Joint Economic Area," viewers enjoyed a variety of dramas with unforgettable genres. However, some failed to gain recognition despite having a star-studded cast.

Here are the dramas that flopped in the first half of 2022.

'Love All Play'

The KBS sports-themed series "Love All Play" starring Park Ju Hyun and Chae Jong Hyeop failed to achieve good results similar to tvN's fencing series "Twenty Five, Twenty One."

During its premiere, the drama received a humble rating of 1.9% and even plummeted to 0.9% in the following episodes.

"Love All Play" also couldn't receive social media buzz, despite its promotions. Sadly, Park Ju Hyun and Chae Jong Hyeop's first ever drama together, which also marked their first lead roles, was a pity.

'The Killer's Shopping List'

Lee Kwang Soo and AOA Seolhyun's "The Killer's Shopping List" depicts the mysterious serial killings in a humble neighborhood, and the only key evidence is the killer's shopping list.

Despite the drama's interestingly creative plot, the 8-part tvN series failed to receive massive attention. As a result, the drama couldn't bounce back from its 2.2% rating and push beyond its highest, which was 4%.

'Shooting Stars'

Office romance dramas usually create a lot of buzz like "A Business Proposal," but "Shooting Stars" failed to pique K-Drama viewers' interest despite having Lee Sung Kyung as the lead.

According to fans, the drama failed primarily because of its boring plot and Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae's bland chemistry.

"Shooting Stars" is believed to be a letdown for Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae, who have cemented their names in the industry.

'Crazy Love'

"Crazy Love" was one of the most anticipated works in 2022, but it was also one of the "flops" in the year's first half. The drama's keen interest and thrilling elements before its release disappeared right after "Crazy Love" premiered.

It was said that Kim Jae Wook and Krystal Jung had lousy chemistry, which made the series unbearable to watch. In addition, the production unit couldn't develop the storyline interestingly, thus only receiving an average rating of 4%.
