'Extraordinary Lawyer Woo' Episode 1: Attorney Woo Young Woo Goes To Court
Diagnosed with autism at age 5, Woo Young Woo (Park Eun Bin) grew up differently. She's more reserved and quiet than average kids.
She doesn't have the ability to talk until her father, Woo Gwang Ho (Jeon Bae Soo), engages in an altercation with their landlord.
Woo Young Woo suddenly speaks up and recites criminal laws. She memorized every criminal and law book his father had at home, surprising everyone with her genius mind.
Apart from the law, she loves whales, too. In episode 1, Woo Young Woo prepares herself for her first day at her job at Hanbada, one of the country's best law firms.
Her father reminds her not to repeat every word she hears and not to talk about whales during office hours.
Because of her disability, she receives prejudices at work, especially from her boss, Jung Myeong Seok (Kang Ki Young).
Little do they know, Woo Young Woo finished law school with the highest honors and became the first ever autistic attorney in South Korea.
At work, she meets Lee Jun Ho (Kang Tae Oh), the handsome yet kind colleague who helps her enter the building after experiencing difficulties with the revolving door.
Woo Young Woo gets assigned her first case, which involves a lady in her 70s who hit his husband, who has dementia, with an iron in the head.

She realizes the old lady was her previous landlady, Choi Yeong Ran (Kang Ae Shim). Because of what she did to her husband, she is charged with attempted murder.
After their thorough conversation, Woo Young Woo wants to change the charge to inflicting bodily injury.
During the trial, the victim, Park Gyu Sik (Lee Do Kyung), stands as a witness. When he sees Woo Young Woo and remembers his altercation with her father, he lashes out and curses her.
Since his blood pressure rose, he was brought to the hospital. Moments later, he is declared dead, which changes the trial's trajectory.
The prosecutor pushes to change the charge from attempted murder to murder. Woo Young Woo focuses on the case more intently and sees the victim's statement to the police.
According to him, his head had already been aching prior to the iron incident, causing brain hemorrhage that led to his death.
Because of this, Woo Young Woo's client, Choi Yeong Ran, isn't liable for her husband's death. So at the end of the episode, she receives a not guilty verdict.
Meanwhile, Hanbada's CEO, Han Seon Yeong (Baek Ji Won), visits Woo Young Woo's father, hinting at an unknown history.
'Extraordinary Woo Young Woo' Episode 2: A Blooming Romance Between Woo Young Woo and Lee Jun Ho
"Extraordinary Woo Young Woo" episode 2 begins with a grand wedding that causes a huge stir in the country.
The beautiful bride gets immensely humiliated after she steps on her bridal gown, revealing her breasts and a back tattoo of Guanyin Bodhisattva in front of her Christian guests and family.
At work, the bride's father, Kim Jeong Gu (Yoon Ju Sang), shows up, expressing his distaste and determination to sue Daehyeon Hotel for damages.
It turns out that the bride's groom owns the hotel. Before this, the hotel was willing to pay a hefty amount to compensate for what happened.
To get to the bottom of the case, Woo Young Woo's colleagues Choi Su Yeon (Ha Yoon Kyung) and Kwon Min Woo (Joo Jong Hyuk) are assigned to focus on the case.
On the other hand, Woo Young Woo and Lee Jun Ho are sent to Daehyeon Hotel to go undercover as soon-to-be husband and wife and discover what happened during the fateful wedding day.

The two find out that the hotel made a grave mistake of switching the gowns of the bride to a whole different dress, which was too big for her frame, causing the gown to slip off.
During the trial, the Handbada lawyers are able to pinpoint the cause of the incident, putting the Daehyeon Hotel in a sticky situation.
However, Ha Young (Kim Hwa Yeong), the bride, gets fed up with what's happening and withdraws the lawsuit herself, much to her father's repugnance.
While she doesn't want to put Daehyeon Hotel in any more trouble, she also doesn't want to get married to its CEO.
Ha Young then reveals that she is in love with her girl's best friend. Thanks to Woo Young Woo, who advised her to withdraw the lawsuit, she finally gets her much-deserved freedom.
After the court trial, the Hanbada lawyers head out for a meal. Afterward, Lee Jun Ho watches as Woo Young Woo heads home.
At home, she makes her father cry as she talks about her future marriage and how she'd give him the bouquet to find his new partner in life.
