Celebrities' careers, popularity, and relevance change from time to time. Sometimes, they go downhill due to scandals and controversies. In most cases, some K-Drama actors lose their spark as they appear in dramas poorly written or without any gripping factors. Here are some actors whose fame declined after starring in "flopped" works!
Park Bo Gum
Worldwide heartthrob Park Bo Gum rose to stardom after receiving his breakthrough role in the slice of life drama "Reply 1988."
He continued to receive many high-scale projects such as "Love in the Moonlight," "Encounter," and "Record of Youth."
However, Park Bo Gum's latest project "Seo Bok" along with equally popular actor Gong Yoo was unable to hook fans and viewers.
The film didn't receive the same attention as his previous projects, as it also failed to leave a significant impact on fans.
Girls' Day Hyeri
Like Park Bo Gum, idol-actress Girls' Day Hyeri's career skyrocketed thanks to "Reply 1988."
While the star successfully owned her role as Deok Sun, she seemed unable to move past the image of her acting role, like Daniel Radcliffe who'll forever be Harry Potter.

No matter what role the actress takes on, she emits Deok Sun's vibes and personality. Because of this, her recent works "Miss Lee" and "My Roommate Is A Gumiho" weren't able to create buzz as big as her past work.
Even her latest drama, in which she challenged herself with the historical genre, couldn't surpass the fame that "Reply 1988" had.
Park Shin Hye
The actress had been under the microscope for a long time after being criticized for being "too safe" in picking her acting roles.
Park Shin Hye once acknowledged her fear of stepping out of her comfort zone as a weakness. After that, however, she tried hard to revamp her image on screen.
Instead of being the soft, innocent main lead, Park Shin Hye took on roles in dramas with more diverse genres such as "Memories of the Alhambra" and "Sisyphus."
Unfortunately, the dramas couldn't entice the viewers due to its poorly written scripts, taking Park Shin Hye's popularity downhill.
Song Hye Kyo
Known for her ability to draw high viewership ratings of every K-Drama she stars in, Song Hye Kyo's luck seems to no longer work in the past year.
After her massive hit "Descendants of the Sun" with then-husband Song Joong Ki, the actress drew mixed reactions for the low ratings that her new dramas received.
"Now, We Are Breaking Up" experienced declining ratings due to an underwhelming script. Despite starring internationally popular stars, the drama failed to generate major buzz on television. Sadly, the drama was considered a major setback in Song Hye Kyo's glorious career.
