Viewers witnessed top stars successfully making a comeback this 2022. Interestingly, a slew of Kdrama hotties returned to the small screen after a series of hiatus due to personal reasons. While the fans enjoy a variety of series offered by broadcast networks, these 5 Korean actors recently made their much-awaited comeback on the small screens.
Lee Min Ho
After two years since he filmed the hit K-drama "The King: Eternal Monarch" with Kim Go Eun, Lee Min Ho returned with a bang, headlining the novel-based series "Pachinko."
Released exclusively on Apple TV+, the eight-part episode series follows the story of a family of Korean immigrants who left their homeland in hopes of surviving and thriving in a different country.
Joining Lee Min Ho is newcomer Kim Min Ha and Oscar winner Youn Yuh Jung.
Interestingly, while it is unknown if the Hallyu star will reprise his role as Ko Hansu in "Pachinko 2" he will headline the upcoming rom-com "Ask the Stars" with Gong Hyo Jin.
Kim Woo Bin
Another OG K-drama actor who made a bold comeback in 2022 is none other than Kim Woo Bin.
After a four-year hiatus due to his health condition, he joined the star-studded cast of "Our Blues," where he took the role of the Jeju native Park Jung Joon.
Kim Woo Bin stars alongside Shin Min Ah, Lee Byung Hun, Cha Seung Won, Lee Jung Eun, and his on-screen partner Han Ji Min.
Besides a K-drama comeback, Kim Woo Bin will also return to the big screen with the upcoming movie "Alienoid."
So Ji Sub
Like Kim Woo Bin, it took four years after So Ji Sub returned to Kdramaland with a thriller crime series, "Doctor Lawyer."
In his comeback K-drama, So Ji Sub took the role of an elite surgeon turned lawyer Han Yi Han.
Joining him in "Doctor Lawyer" are Shin Sung Rok and Im Soo Hyang

According to a report, So Ji Sub accepted the offer to headline the thriller crime series because of its "unique story". He added, "I chose this project because it is one where I can experience both medical and legal dramas, so I think I'll be able to show various aspects as an actor."
Ji Chang Wook
The South Korean heartthrob has back-to-back K-dramas this 2022, starting with "The Sound of Magic."
The six-part episode series is his first K-drama after the 2020 romance series "Lovestruck in the City."
He will also appear as the lead star in the upcoming drama with Girls' Generation's Sooyoung for "Tell Me Your Wish."
Jang Hyuk
Jang Hyuk is wrapping up the list of actors who made a comeback in K-drama this 2022.
The versatile star returned to the small screen with the historical series "Bloody Heart" with Lee Joon and Kang Han Na, where he portrayed First Vice-Premier Park Gye Won.
