Hosted by Jun Hyun Moo and Girls' Generation's YoonA, the ceremony is slated for July 19 at 7 p.m. KST which took place at Paradise City in Incheon.

The first ever ​​Blue Dragon Series Awards aims to honor content like dramas, and variety shows released by streaming services like Netflix, seezn, Apple TV+, WATCHA, Disney+, wavve, Kakao TV, TVING, and Coupang Play.

Interestingly, the upcoming awards show boasts many talented stars competing for the coveted title.

For the Best Actor category, five top stars are battling it out but only one will take home the trophy.

Jung Hae In 'D.P'

The 34-year-old star headlined Netflix's "D.P," where he took the role of private soldier Ahn Jun Ho.

Jung Hae In broke away from his usual boy next door roles and showed his versatility as an actor, landing the role of a soldier who tracks military deserters.

Apart from doing stunts, he also showed Ahn Jun Ho's deep emotions and his military struggles.

In the six-part episode series, Jung Hae In joins Goo Kyo Hwan, Son Seok Koo, and Kim Sung Kyun as the lead stars.

Besides the interesting cast lineup, viewers lauded the chemistry of Jung Hae In and Goo Kyo Hwan as they portray senior and junior who are assigned to look for military fugitives.

Due to the overwhelming response of the public, "D.P" will return with season 2 and will welcome new characters.

One of the most talked about Netflix series in 2021, besides "Squid Game," is none other than "Move to Heaven."

The unique storyline and Lee Je Hoon's exceptional acting hooked viewers on this slice-of-life K-drama.

The 38-year-old actor portrayed an underground boxer who unexpectedly meets the person who will change his life.

After his brother died, he was tasked to be the guardian of his nephew, Han Geu Ru (Tang Jun Sang), who was diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.

After his 2019 hit Kdrama "The Fiery Priest," Kim Nam Gil returned with a bang as he starred in the thriller mystery "Through the Darkness."

He took the role of Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Criminal Behavior Analysis team member Song Ha Young.

He captivates the viewers with his undeniable charisma while playing a criminal profiler while illustrating his tough character.

The Best Actor category for Blue Dragon Series Awards 2022 will not be complete without Lee Jung Jae, who took the world by storm with his character in "Squid Game."

The renowned actor played the debt-ridden Seong Gi Hoon, a.k.a player 456, who entered the competition in hopes of helping his family by winning the 45.6 billion won cash prize.

Lee Jung Jae never failed to amaze the audience with his exceptional acting and charm.

Im Si Wan 'Tracer'

Lastly, capping off the nominees for the Best Actor category is Im Si Wan for his Kdrama "Tracer."

The MBC series is his comeback to the small screen after headlining the blockbuster Kdrama "Run On."

Viewers were again hooked on Im Si Wan's character as he played the chief of taxation division 5's Hwang Dong Joo.
