As obtained by a news portal, the 35-year-old actor revealed that he did a lot of action scenes, particularly wire stunts.

"Once I went to work on the set, I did a lot of actions that started with wires and ended with wires," he said.

The outlet also pointed out that Ryu Jun Yeol filmed a certain scene without a double. With this, the preparation, training, and action stunts made him lose weight.

"I have always maintained a certain weight, but I lost 5 kg while filming a wire action scene," he said, adding that the humidity and the heat made him shed more pounds.

Moreover, he also shared that he changed clothes almost thrice daily because of the weather.

"I was wearing two or three coats at the hem, and I was sweating so much that the outermost clothes were all wet," he said, adding, "the action scenes were not easy."

In the upcoming movie "Alien," Ryu Jun Yeol plays the rookie swordsman and Taoist Moo Reuk. He exudes a larger-than-life personality and free-spirited energy.

Meanwhile, Kim Woo Bin played the Guard, who harbored four different personalities. He is responsible for the custody of the prisoners.

Kim Tae Ri took the role of Lee Ahn, a charismatic woman looking for the legendary sword.

Directed and written by Choi Dong Hoon, who was behind the success of "Tazza," "The Thieves," and "Assassination," "Alien" release date is slated to hit the big screen on July 20.

The 2 part film follows the story of a mysterious portal that connects Taoists from the Goryeo Dynasty to the present time to hunt the significant sword.

As the interview continued, the actor also revealed his preparation for the film.

He said that he was given a year to adapt to his character, so he chose to grow his hair for one reason.

"So I was able to grow my hair, and I wanted to show raw action by myself, but I was able to practice consistently for this," he explained.

As for the physical part, Ryu Jun Yeol said that he started doing gymnastics and was able to do the basics like back tumbling and side protrusions.

Moreover, he also revealed that he and Kim Tae Ri often practiced together.
