Kim Hye Yoon, Ryu Seung Ryong, Jang Hyuk Receive Awards at NYAFF 2022
The New York Asian Film Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary this 2022 and recognizes excellent talents worldwide through the limitless consumable media today.
The film festival opened on July 15 at Lincoln Center in New York City, showcasing notable works decorated by mainly Asian stars.
In particular, South Korean actors Kim Hye Yoon, Jang Hyuk, and Ryu Seung Ryong were awarded for their superb performances in their recent films at the film festival.
Kim Hye Yoon won the 2022 Screen International Rising Star Asia Award as the main actress in the film "The Girl on a Bulldozer," directed by Park Ri Woong.
Meanwhile, Jang Hyuk takes the honor of the 2022 Daniel A. Craft Award for Excellence in Action Cinema for his action thriller films "The Killer" and "The Swordsman," both directed by Choi Jae Hun.
Thanks to his unrivaled acting chops, veteran actor Ryu Seung Ryong's acting in Cho Eun Ji's "Perhaps Love" received the Best from the East Award, a highly coveted honor in a film.

This 2022, Kim Hye Yoon, Jang Hyuk, and Ryu Seung Ryong will greet the viewers with a slew of multiple promising projects.
Apart from "The Killer" and "The Swordsman," Jang Hyuk recently joined Kang Han Na and Lee Joon in the A-grade historical romance drama "Bloody Heart."
On the other hand, Kim Hye Yoon gears up for her upcoming fantasy romance film "Similar" with Yeo Jin Goo, Na In Woo, and Cho Yi Hyun.
It is a remake of the 2000 film "Ditto" which tells the love and friendship of two people living in different time periods. Filming began in May and is expected to be released in the second half of 2022.

Ryu Seung Ryong will return to the small screen with Disney+'s "Moving" with Han Hyo Joo, Lee Jung Hwa, Jo In Sung, and Go Yoon Jung.
It's a webtoon-based supernatural drama that follows the story of high school students and their parents discovering their superpowers. The series hasn't announced its official release date yet.
