Joo Won surprised fans with his jaw-dropping shoot for GQ Korea's latest issue. The 34-year-old star graced the publication's August 2022 issue, showing off his undeniable charisma and oozing sexiness with his straight-out-of-runway look. There, he also spoke about his upcoming film, "Carter."

Moreover, the singer-actor also spoke about his hiatus and comeback with a back-to-back project, starting with his upcoming movie "Carter."

Joo Won on Taking a Break and Returning With a Bang

During his appearance with GQ Korea, the "Good Doctor" star recalls juggling various projects all at the same time.

After his three-year break in K-drama, he made a comeback with the series "Alice" with Kim Hee Sun in 2020.

He shared that while filming the fantasy melodrama series, he was also working on the movie "Firemen," which will be released sometime this year.

After wrapping up the production for the movie, he immediately went to shoot his new movie "Carter."

Joo Won shared that people around him told him to take a break, but he refused, saying he wanted to seize the moment.

"People who know that tell me to take a break now, but I also thought, 'It's been too long that the public hasn't seen me,'" he said. He added, "Even my grandmother says, "When are you coming out?" and "Why aren't you doing this today?"

To recall, Joo Won's last appearance on the small screen was for the K-drama "My Sassy Girl" with Oh Yeon Seo, Lee Jung Shin, and Kim Yoon Hye before landing the lead role in SBS' "Alice."

As for his big-screen comeback, Joo Won is gaining the public's attention with his massive transformation for his movie "Carter."

The actor purposely bulked up for the film and gained 7kg of muscle to play the role of a top-tier agent named Carter.

As the interview continues with GQ Korea, Joo Won expressed liking to reprise his role if "Carter" has a sequel.

For the actor, despite the intense, challenging preparations and scenes he did for the film, he says that he "wanted to do it again," adding that shooting "Carter" was "so much fun."

Set to be released on August 5, the action-packed movie is Joo Won's most anticipated project this 2022.

As noted by an outlet, the actor hints at the intensity of the movie and said "Once you start watching it, you won't be able to take your eyes off of it."

Besides the singer-actor, the "Carter" cast also includes Lee Sung Jae of "Diary of a Prosecutor" and child actress Kim Bo Min who also appeared in "The King: Eternal Monarch."
