Kim Tae Ri Says It's a Dream to Work With 'Alien' Director - Here's Why

The 32-year-old star returns to the big screen with the sci-fi adventure movie "Alien."

Kim Tae Ri joins fellow lead stars Kim Woo Bin and Ryu Jun Yeol alongside So Ji Sub, Honey Lee, Yeom Jung Ah, and more.

During her interview with Elle Korea, the actress also revealed that it was her dream to work with "Alien" director Choi Dong Hoon, who is the genius behind the movies "Tazza," "The Thieves," and "Assassination."

She revealed that she was a fan of his works and enjoyed watching all of his movies.

Kim Tae Ri also expressed that working with director Choi Dong Hoon is a dream come true and thanked him for choosing her to be part of his film.

"Director Choi Dong-hoon's characters all say interesting things," Kim Tae Ri lauded the director, adding that the filmmaker creates great movies that viewers could watch multiple times.

"I think we need to make a movie where you can see something new when you watch it again two, three times, or ten years later. Director Choi Dong-hoon is a person who makes such films," she explained.

"Alien" is a two-part film that follows the story of a mysterious portal that opened and connects Taoists from the Goryeo Dynasty to the present time.

Kim Tae Ri took the role of Lee An, whom she previously described as a "kind, honest, and independent" woman who goes for what she thinks is right.

"Alien" premiered in theaters on July 20 and reportedly hit the 1 million mark at the box office.

Before the release of her new movie, Kim Tae Ri starred in a smash hit K-drama "Twenty-Five Twenty-One" with Nam Joo Hyuk and took the role of fencer prodigy Na Hee Do.

The 32-year-old actress says her previous roles taught her many things, especially Na Hee Doo, whom she described as "great."

Interestingly, she also shared her similarities with her character, especially in the physical aspects.

Kim Tae Ri revealed that she used to like Na Hee Do during her younger years.

I scrolled my smartphone photo album to the top to see the oldest photos," she recalled and said that she used to look like Na Hee Do during her college days.
