On Lee Dong Wook's Instagram, the actor showed off his hairstyle for the upcoming sequel, sporting long platinum blonde locks and donning a traditional men's hanbok.

The scene was taken near a river alongside a child actress.

On Lee Dong Wook's Instagram, he posted a caption that reads, "'Nine-Tailed Fox 1938' is running hard."

Interestingly, fans expressed how excited they are to see Lee Yeon for the K-drama's second season.

Kim Bum is joining Lee Dong Wook as a lead star, who will also reprise his role as Lee Rang, Lee Yeon's half-brother.

Besides the duo, "Nine-Tailed Fox 1938" also welcomes a new character, Ryu Hong Joo, who was once a guardian spirit of a mountain in the west but becomes the owner of one of the best restaurants in Myoyeongak.

Interestingly, Ryu Hong Joo is played by the award-winning actress Kim So Yeon from "The Penthouse."

Due to the public's demand and overwhelming response of viewers to the 2020 series, Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum returned for the "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" sequel.

In May, the two actors confirmed their appearance with a new female lead.

As for the second season, the fantasy romance series will focus on Lee Yeon's desperate struggle to return to the present day.

In a previous report obtained by a media outlet, the actor expressed his excitement to continue playing Lee Yeon.

"I'm happy to be able to take on 'Tale of the Nine-Tailed' once again. I worked enjoyably with splendid staff and great actors," he said.

As for the new female lead, Kim So Yeon, she is grateful to be considered to play the role, adding, "I'll work hard on preparing to portray the attractive character Ryu Hong Joo successfully."

Lastly, Kim Bum also expressed the same thought and said he is happy to reunite with old workmates and meet new cast members for the sequel.

The directors of the 2020 "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" Kang Shin Hyo and Jo Nam Hyung are reunited for the second installment, alongside Han Woo Ri, who also penned the first season.

Viewers are set to witness and be entertained by the series' diverse characters and dynamic action scenes.

In addition, the officials also confirmed "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" season 3.

However, as for the second season, the broadcast network and officials are yet to announce the premiere date, but it will be released sometime in 2023.
