American actor Troy Kotsur expressed his deep gratitude toward South Korea star Youn Yuh Jung.
Presented by the "Minari" actress, the 54-year-old actor becomes the first deaf man to take an Oscar award after winning Best Supporting Actor for his role in "Coda."
During his visit to South Korea to attend the press conference for the World Deaf Contest in Seoul, Troy Kotsur recalled his experience with Youn Yuh Jung at the time that he was accepting his first ever Oscar trophy.
Troy Kotsur Wants to Personally Meet Youn Yuh Jung
According to a report, the Hollywood star was asked what he wanted to do in South Korea to which he replied that he wanted to meet the veteran actress, whom he described as someone who is "very good at acting."
Moreover, he also talked about the unforgettable moment at the 94th Academy Award where Youn Yuh Jung held his award as he did his acceptance speech through sign language.
"When I received the award, I was worried about whether I should sign with one hand after receiving the trophy," he recalled and was very thankful for Youn Yuh Jung for making it easy for him to deliver his speech and express his feelings.

Interestingly, besides Kotsur, another Hollywood actor expressed his love for Youn Yuh Jung.
When Brad Pitt visited South Korea in August to promote his movie "Bullet Train," he told the host of KBS 2TV's "Year-round Live" that he likes to work with the veteran actress.
However, he had a hard time pronouncing Youn Yuh Jung's name, and instead, he mentioned Yoo Jeong Yoon, adding "The teacher will kill me. I think he will scold me."
What's Next for Youn Yuh Jung
The 75-year-old actress made history after becoming the first Korean actress to take home the Best Supporting Actress award at the 93rd Academy Awards.
The recognition was for her stunning performance in "Minari" where she played the role of lovely yet foul-mouthed grandmother Sun Ja.
After captivating international viewers with her acting skills and candid moments in ceremonies and interviews, Youn Yuh Jung once again took the spotlight after starring in her comeback movie.
The award-winning actress is among the lead stars of the hit novel-based series "Pachinko" along with Lee Min Ho and rookie actress Kim Min Ha.
She portrayed the older version of Kim Sun Ja who later on became Baek Sun Ja when she moved to Japan. It was her comeback to the small screen after the 2019 K-drama "Never Twice" with Kwang Dong Yeon and Park Se Wan.
Interestingly, as viewers wait for the cast lineup of "Pachinko" season 2, Youn Yuh Jung is headlining the omnibus film "Dog Days."
The veteran actress will be working alongside "Money Heist Korea" stars Kim Yoon Jin and Lee Hyun Woo, as well as versatile actor Yoo Hae Jin.
