Lee Sang Bo is in hot waters after police revealed the identity of the actor, who was arrested for drug abuse.
Following various speculations regarding the celebrity who is said to be in his 40s, the authorities named the "Miss Monte-Cristo" star as actor A, who is facing charges for violating the Narcotics Control Act.
On September 10, local media outlets shared the announcement of Seoul Gangnam Police Station regarding the arrest of an actor, referred to as "A" who was reported by concerned citizens as someone "running around as if high on drugs."
After the arrest, the police conducted a drug test and found out that "Actor A" is positive for narcotics.
Lee Moo Saeng and Park Hae Jin Speculated To Be 'Actor A'
At the height of the controversy, two actors have been involved in the issue.
"Thirty-Nine" star Lee Moo Saeng, who is currently 42-year-old, quickly shut down rumors and released a statement clarifying the controversy.
In an Instagram post, his agency, Alien Company "clearly announced" that Lee Moo Saeng "has no relation whatsoever to the case in question" and is not the man behind "Actor A."
Moreover, the talent label also promised to protect its actors against "groundless falsehoods being spread through online communities and social media."

Following this, another actor was dragged into the issue and immediately issued a statement to clear his name.
Park Hae Jin's agency Artist Company announced in a statement that the speculations about him "are completely false" and have no relation to the case.
In addition, the management warned that they would take strong legal action "if groundless falsehoods related to this case continue to be spread."
Lee Sang Bo Arrested for Violating Narcotics Control Act
In a report cited by News 1, "Actor A" is identified to be 40-year-old Lee Sang Bo, who reportedly wandered on the streets looking intoxicated.
Following the news, the actor switched his social networking service account to private and has not released any statement regarding the charges.
However, in a separate report, the police seized dozens of pills in Lee Sang Bo's house and are currently receiving treatment at the hospital following the arrest.
In addition, as soon as the treatment is finished, the police will investigate the route of how he obtained the narcotics.
Lee Sang Bo, who is currently working without an agency, made his debut in the 2006 K-drama, "The Invisible Man" and played supporting roles in series such as "Romance Hunter," "Golden Era of Daughter in Law," Cruel Love," and played Detective Yang Moon Bok in the 2020 K-drama "Rugal."
His last K-drama appearance was with the KBS 2TV series "Miss Monte Cristo" playing the lead role of Oh Ha Joon along with Lee So Yeon, Choi Yeo Jin, and Kyung Sung Hwan.
