Anticipation for the newest thriller series "Gyeongseong Creature" is taken to a whole new level as its production unit confirms its television release.

In particular, the meeting of Park Seo Joon, Han So Hee, Wi Ha Joon and more also heightens prospective viewers' excitement, expecting the star-studded cast to deliver a worthwhile watching experience.


'Gyeongseong Creature' To Make Netflix Debut

Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee's forthcoming sci-fi drama "Gyeongseong Creature" is coming to Netflix!

Set in Seoul 1945, "Gyeongseong Creature" tells the stories of youths who try to overcome their warfare against a monster created by greed.

The series is helmed by screenwriter Kang Eun Kyung who wrote "Romantic Doctor Kim" and "Hot Stove League" director Jung Dong Yoon, which gives viewers great impressions thanks to their outstanding works.

In the series, Park Seo Joon transforms into the handsome pawnshop owner Jang Tae Sang. He also works as an informant, and is known as a person that prioritizes money over justice.

Meanwhile, Han So Hee plays the role of Yoon Chae Ok, a hoarder who lives like a scavenger as she's good at finding dead people.

Known for their award-winning works "My Name," "Itaewon Class" and more, Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee are expected to herald a new unbeatable work in the thriller genre.

On September 28, the production unit of "Gyeongseong Creature" announced that the series will be released on the worldwide online streaming platform Netflix in the early half of 2023, intensifying excitement.

"Gyeongseong Creature" also boasts its additional cast lineup, including Wi Ha Joon, Claudia Kim, Kim Hae Sook and more.

Wi Ha Joon, Claudia Kim, More Join 'Gyeongseong Creature'

Apart from the visual couple Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee, a bunch of brilliant stars are also joining the cast lineup.

Wi Ha Joon, who showed his prowess in international hit series "Squid Game" and "Little Women," transforms into Kwon Jun Taek, Jang Tae Sang's best friend. He is an independent man who heralds a search brigade to save a missing colleague.

Meanwhile, "Avengers" starrer Claudia Kim, also known as Soo Hyun, plays the role of Maeda, a landowner in the Gyeongseong area who experiences a series of eerie occurrences.

Lastly, veteran star Kim Hae Sook plays the role of Nawol Daek, a butler who works for a family who's in search for the missing matriarch that disappeared a decade ago.

With the star-studded cast, the drama will be filled with intense and fun vibes as it depicts the spine chilling stories of missing people and monsters that coexist in Gyeongseong 1945.

'Gyeongseong Creature' Release Date

Co-produced by Kakao Entertainment and Studio Dragon, "Gyeongseong Creature" will tell the story of people in between life and death on Netflix.

The drama will be released for the first time in the early half of 2023. Its exact premiere date is not released yet so stay tuned for more updates!
