Amid reports talking about her comeback to the entertainment industry, Park Hye Soo dishes out on her hiatus following the school violence controversy.
The actress made a huge buzz after she had her first public appearance since the allegations broke out.
The 27-year-old actress graced the 2022 Busan International Film Festival on October 8 for her independent film "You and I," helmed by actor Jo Hyun Chul who also directed short films "Rustle" and "Romance in Seoul." It is for The Vision of Korean Cinema Today is a section honoring the latest works of Korean independent films.
Marking her first public appearance since the controversy back in February 2021, Park Hye Soo continued to grace promotional activities for "You and I" with her recent appearance at the screening of the movie on October 9.
In a report cited by JTBC News, talks about her movie and briefly spoke about her hiatus from the industry and health status.
Park Hye Soo Opens Up on Mental & Physical Health While Filming 'You and I'
At the press conference, Park Hye Soo got honest and said that she "was not in a healthy state of mental and physical health" at the time that she was filming her comeback movie.
However, she was thankful to work with director Jo Hyun Chul and Kim Shi Eun who is her fellow lead star.
"It was my first time doing an independent film, but the director, staff, and even (Kim) Si Eun, who acted together, worked together," she said, adding, "It was a job where I felt that I was putting all my heart and heart into the work for the sake of 'You and I.'"
Moreover, she mentioned that the experience she had during the production is a moment that she "will never forget."
"It seems that we met like fate and felt nothing but love during that time while filming the movie," she furthered.

In a separate report cited by Osen, she briefly mentioned her hiatus.
Park Hye Soo Not 'Avoiding' Her Situation
For Park Hye Soo, she explained why she had to go on a little break amid the controversy. She said there may be people who are a little curious about her situation and pointed out that she is not running away from the issue but looking at the best way to solve it.
"I'm not avoiding the situation right now, but I'm trying to do my best to deal with the situation," the actress explained.
In 2021, Park Hye Soo was among the celebrities who faced massive controversy after she was accused of being a bully in high school. At the time, the actress' agency denied all of the accusations as false and went on hiatus.
The controversy even affected her then K-drama comeback "Dear.M" where she plays the lead star.
