Disney Plus officially dropped the news regarding Lee Jung Jae's Hollywood debut through the highly anticipated "Star Wars: The Acolyte."

Over the platform's Instagram, it introduced the cast of the "Stars Wars" spinoff and one of which is a renowned South Korean actor.

Finally, after months of speculations, Disney Plus confirmed that the "Squid Game" star is among the lead stars in the much-awaited series.

He will be joining "The Hate U Give" actress Amandla Stenberg, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Charlie Barnett, Dean-Charles Chapman, and "The Matrix" alum Carrie-Anne Moss.

Moreover, the streaming giant also mentioned that "production has begun on The Acolyte, an upcoming Original series from Star Wars."

Interestingly, apart from the powerful cast lineup, Disney Plus also teased fans with a sneak peek on the set of "Star Wars: The Acolyte."

The 49-year-old star is a household name in South Korea as he appeared in a long list of hit movies and series; however, he gained global fame after starring in Netflix's "Squid Game."

Lee Jung Jae wowed viewers with his remarkable acting as he took the role of player 456 Seong Gi Hoon who is among the debt-ridden participants of death defying game.

As "Squid Game" took the world by storm, reigning the top 10 tv shows for weeks and scoring international awards, the actor has officially signed a contract with a major U.S. agency in February 2022.

Lee Jung Jae is now part of the American talent agency CAA or Creative Artists Agency which houses a roster of Hollywood stars including Brad Pitt, Meryl Streep, George Clooney, Tom Hanks, and award-winning director Steven Spielberg.
