Kim So Eun Fails To Have Her Breakthrough This 2022

The ever-beautiful Kim So Eun, popularly known for her role as Kim Ga Eul in the 2009 hit series "Boys Over Flowers," made her small screen comeback with "Three Bold Siblings." This is her first major drama appearance after the conclusion of "Lonely Enough to Love" in 2020.

Besides the ongoing KBS series, Kim So Eun also starred as the female lead in the film "The Distributors," which premiered at CGV on November 23 and is scheduled to be released on KBS this December.

'Three Bold Siblings' Continues To Decline in Viewership Ratings

In the first week of "Three Bold Siblings," the series struggled to maintain good ratings. By episode 5, the drama has recorded its lowest viewership rating at 16.9 percent based on Nielsen Korea.

Episode 16 was released, in which Kim So Eun had the most screen appearance, but it witnessed a 1.4 percent decline in ratings.

According to a media outlet, the actress landed one of the drama's lead characters, but she failed to make an impression with her role.

She plays the character of Kim So Rim, the middle child of the Kim clan who gets along with her sister. Even though she is one of the main cast members, Kim So Eun's impact through each episode leaves much to be desired.

Is Kim So Eun's 'The Distributor' a Flop?

Kim So Eun's movie also didn't gain much popularity when released.

On its opening day, there were less than 4,000 audience and dropped to 2,500 on the second day. It was an extremely meek reception compared to other movies aired in the same week, such as "Decibel," "Black Panther," and "The Own."

Ahead of Kim So Eun's movie release, "The Distributors" was promoted on various channels but didn't get the expected amount of reactions from the viewers.

Though it will still be available on KBS, and many people can still watch it, the audience's reviews about Kim So Eun's role are not that impressive.
