After surprising fans with an announcement during the drama's finale episode, the broadcast network confirms the release date of the novel-based series.
'Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist' Season 2 Release Date, Cast
Airing every Wednesday and Thursday, viewers could catch new episodes of "Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist" season 2 through tvN while subtitles are available on Viki.
However, unlike the first season, the upcoming sequel will have a total of 10 episodes instead of the original 12 episodes.
What to Expect in 'Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist' Season 2
While season one focuses on Yoo Se Yeop's transformation as Yoo Se Poong after being kicked out of the palace, the latest season will center around his arrival as the royal physician.
It came after Yoo Se Poong managed to clear his name from conspiracy and prove that he was not the man behind the King's death.
As for the family of Kye Ji Han, they will continue to treat patients along with Lady Seo who might be the doctor's right hand.
On the other hand, apart from the historical medical K-drama, Kim Min Jae will reprise his role in "Dr. Romantic" season 3 as nurse Park Eun Tak.
As for Kim Hyang Gi, she recently appeared in the blockbuster movie "Hansan: The Rising Dragon" with Park Hae Il, Byun Yo Han, and more.
