Seolhyun Struggles To Make Impact in Her Acting Career
Idol and actress Seolhyun has been active in the acting industry for ten years. According to Daum, though she has worked with multiple actors and actresses, but Seolhyun still struggles to make an impact.
Seolhyun is dubbed as "AOA's visual and center," but this is not enough to help her produce any significant results as an actress and her performance is stagnant.
In particular, Seolhyun currently appears in the ENA channel's series "Summer Strike." She takes the role of Lee Yeo Reum, who comes to the peaceful village of Angok to relax and experience a change in her ordinary life.
The drama introduces the story of a girl, who decides to quit her job in the city and do nothing to make the most of her life, and a reserved librarian Dae Beom.
Despite the cast, the drama receives mixed reviews.

"Summer Strike," which airs every Monday and Tuesday, already released four episodes but has not achieved any notable results yet. It has poor ratings and ranked 8th in the popularity chart for K-dramas in the 4th week of November.
Its lead stars also didn't even enter the Top 10 buzzworthy rankings.
'Summer Strike' Continues To Have Low Ratings
Previously, ENA Channel succeeded with the legal drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" but is struggling to capture the viewers' attention with their new series "Summer Strike."
Other series released by the same company such as "Good Job'', and "Love is for Suckers" had good viewership rating records. Unfortunately, "Summer Strike" has a similar performance to ENA's first drama "Never Give Up."
It has been said that it is a disastrous result considering the cast lineup of two famous stars Im Si Wan and Seolhyun.
"Summer Strike" is Seolhyun's first project after she left FNC Entertainment, where she worked for 10 years since her debut. Even though she exhibited enthusiasm and effort for the series, the drama's performance is disappointing.
Seolhyun Fails To Create Good Chemistry With Previous Co-Stars
To recall, she made her acting debut in 2012 with "My Daughter Seo Young," later landed her first lead role in "Ugly Heart" and "Orange Marmalade." Through those projects, Seolhyun had a great contribution to her recognition as the visual and center of her group AOA.
However, the idol-actress' achievements have become sluggish. She appeared in various series such as "My Country: The New Age," "Awaken," and "The Killer's Shopping List," but failed to make an impact.
Even when teaming up with top-notch actors such as Jang Hyuk and Namgoong Min, Seolhyun still failed to establish good chemistry with her previous co-stars.
