Gong Yoo attended the Extreme Run event of the movie "The Suspect," in which he appeared as the main protagonist. The Extreme Run event took place in Stage M in Yuk Sam Dong, Seoul, in the afternoon of December 5, 2013. The day's event consisted of a relay walk of Yuk Sam Dong, Seoul Women's University, and Young Deung Po Time Square. As if to prove Gong Yoo's popularity, over 500 fans have participated in the relay walk, attracting the audiences' attention.

"The Suspect" is the second movie of director Won Shin Yeon of "Seven Days," and actor Gong Yoo's first action movie. The action movie "Suspect" tells a story of a special agent Choi Jung Ye, who has become the target of everything but tries to chase and track down the person who killed his family. Gong Yoo in this movie turns over his previous image of romantic nice guy from "Coffee Prince" and becomes a tough guy.
In the movie "The Suspect," Gong Yoo plays Ji Dong Chul, an elite North Korean spy who is known for his skill and determination. His wife and child are murdered and the focus of his life becomes finding their killer. While he pursues their killer, he becomes the number one suspect in the murder of a CEO. He must uncover the truth to prove his own innocence. South Korean Colonel Min Se Hoon, who is played by Park Hee Soon, chases Ji Dong Chul. Ji refuses to get caught because, when he is caught, he will no longer be able to execute revenge on the person who killed his family. Actors Park Hee Soon, Jo Sung Ha, and You Da In also star in "Suspect."
To play the role of an elite spy, Gong Yoo has been being trained in martial arts. As this is his first action film, Gong Yoo also received special action training.
The movie is to premiere in December of 2013.
