Jun Do Yeon said, "Two years of not filming any movie was quite long. It was a time for me to realize how much I had enjoyed my work, and filming. Although time spent in filming is precious, the time I spend realizing how much I value it was also precious," commenting on her thoughts on filming "The Way Home" after two years of break.

When a reporter at the movie "The Way Home" press release said to Jun Do Yeon, "You seemed skinner and as if you had less hair in the movie," Jun Do Yeon said, "I must have been really good at portraying Son Jung Yeon," smiling. Jun Do Yeon humbly added, "I wanted to look as skinny as director Bang Eun Jin, but I could not. I am glad to hear that I looked that way (miserable). The power of makeup also played a role."
