However, despite the show's success, Song Joong Ki's drama gained mixed reactions from viewers, especially with the ending.
Helmed by "She Was Pretty," "W," and "I am not a Robot" director Jeong Dae Yun, "Reborn Rich" is based on the web novel "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate" which follows the story of Yoon Hyun Woo, a devoted employee of Soonyang conglomerate who was murdered by one of the executives.
He was reborn as the third generation chaebol Jin Do Joon and became Soonyang founder, Jin Yang Chul's youngest grandson Jin Do Joon.
Interestingly, he used his second life for revenge and to know who is behind his death.
The 'Reborn Rich' Ending Explained
Apart from an all-time high rating, "Reborn Rich" garnered mixed reviews from viewers.
On social media, fans expressed their insights regarding the drama's ending with some posting positive feedback while others got honest and point out why the finale was disappointing.
One said that the show caused the viewer to cry buckets after getting moved by the ending.
The scene where Jin Do Joon's things were still at Miracle Investment's office after 20 years after his death.
However, one user said that the drama showcased an interesting plot, not until the finale episode.
The same goes for a viewer who said the drama's ending was "confusing" and "boring due to Lee Sung Min's absence.
Will 'Reborn Rich' Return with Season 2?
Although Song Joong Ki's drama is one of the top-rated shows of JTBC, officials are yet to confirm if the drama will have its second sequel.
Moreover, it's also too early for the broadcast network to predict of "Reborn Rich" season 2 is possible.
