In spite of all the great reviews for "The Glory," many have expressed their disappointment with Song Hye Kyo's newest Netflix series.
In particular, her partnership with Lee Do Hyun has gained polarized opinions for various reasons. Here's what happened.
Viewers Demand To Replace Lee Do Hyun In 'The Glory'
While Song Hye Kyo redeemed herself from her prejudiced bland acting through "The Glory," the same thing can't be said to Lee Do Hyun.
One fan commented, "I know Netflix Korea will push for Lee Do Hyun as Song Hye Kyo's leading man but Jung Sung Il and Song Hye Kyo's chemistry is insane."
In the series, Song Hye Kyo and Jung Sung Il would meet to play Go, and fans would notice the extreme sexual tension between the two despite never saying a word.
Compared to Lee Do Hyun, many fans are drawn to the complicated dynamics that the other two possess.
"Lee Do Hyun's acting is so flat. He and Song Hye Kyo don't have any spark," a viewer boldly stated. As they wait for Part 2, fans demand to replace Lee Do Hyun with Jung Sung Il as Song Hye Kyo's love interest.
The producers haven't released any statement about the changes in the series but anything is possible especially that Part 2 is still in its production process.
