After leaving Hook Entertainment, Youn Yuh Jung will focus on her Hollywood activities.

In an exclusive report cited by Deadline, the Oscar winner has officially joined the Creative Artists Agency (CAA), one of the three major US agencies.

Youn Yuh Jung Joins Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks' Agency

Following the confirmation regarding the veteran actress' recent move, Youn Yuh Jung will focus on her Hollywood activities, which include reprising her role as Sunja in the novel-based hit series "Pachinko."

Outlets reported that the top star left Korea to participate in the sequel's production.

On the other hand, Youn Yuh Jung's new agency is home to Hollywood top stars like Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, and singers Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Justin Bieber.

Besides these Hollywood celebrities, CAA also tapped "Squid Game" stars Lee Jung Jae, Jung Ho Yeon, director Lee Myung Woo and "Broker" star Kang Dong Won.

Youn Yuh Jung captivates the global audience after starring in Lee Isaac Chung's movie "MInari" with Steven Yeun, Han Yeri, Alan Kim, and more.

Interestingly, the veteran star also stunned the public after she became the first Korean actress to win Best Supporting Actress at the 2021 Academy Awards for her role in "Minari."

It was followed by another Hollywood project as the award-winning South Korean star joined the cast of "Pachinko" alongside Lee Min Ho, Jin Ha, and rookie actress Kim Min Ha.

With officials confirming the release of "Pachinko 2" viewers look forward to seeing original cast members including Youn Yuh Jung.

Youn Yuh Jung Leaves Hook Entertainment Following Agency's Dispute With Lee Seung Gi

Amid the continuous conflict between Hook Entertainment and their longtime artist, Lee Seung Gi, Youn Yuh Jung has parted ways with the agency.

On December 6, a local media outlet confirmed that the Oscar-winning actress have decided not to renew her contract after joining the agency in 2017.

As obtained by the outlet, Hook Entertainment released an official statement, responding to reports about the actress' recent move.

"We announce that our contract with Youn has expired," the talent agency said, adding "We hope to see her in many more good roles in the future and wish her the best."

Youn Yuh Jung Declined Offer to Star in Na Young Seok's Variety Show

While "Youn's Stay" aired in 2021 was a huge success, Youn Yuh Jung withdraws to star in the second season of the variety show.

Per Star News, the veteran actress has declined the offer due to a schedule conflict.

Her then-agency also mentioned that the filming would be the same as the production of "Pachinkon 2."

Instead of Youn Yuh Jung, PD Na Young Seok has selected Lee Seo Jin to join the cast.
