Jang Hyuk is set to have major changes in his career this 2023 as the top star has wrapped up his exclusive contract with longtime agency Sidus HQ.
In an exclusive report cited by a South Korean news portal, the actor's contract officially expired in February 28th.
Jang Hyuk, who made his debut in 1997 after landing a supporting role in the romance drama "model" has been with Sidus HQ since the beginning of his acting career.
He has been with the label along with close friends Jun Ji Hyun, Jeon Do Yeon, Kim Hye Soo, Jung Woo Sung, and Gong Yoo
However, the said stars moved to other agencies but Jang Hyuk remained loyal to Sidus HQ for 26 years.
Which Will be Jang Hyuk's Next Agency?
Jang Hyuk will be working together with Jang Nara for the fourth time as the duo stars in the upcoming K-drama "Family."
Currently, the stars are filming the drama until this March.
Aside from Jang Nara and Jang Hyuk, the "Family" cast also includes Chae Jung An, and "Reborn Rich" actor Kim Nam Hee.
Helmed by Chief producer Jang Jung Do of "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim," "The Crowned Clown," "Our Blues," and the hit K-drama "Alchemy of Souls," "Family depicts the story of a National Intelligence Service (NIS) black agent named Kwon Do Hoon, played by Jang Hyuk, who also served as an undercover, disguising himself as an ordinary office worker.
Apart from his duty, he is also the dotting husband of Kang Yu Ra, played by Jang Nara, who dreams of having a perfect family.
As mentioned, this will be the fourth time that Jang Nara and Jang Hyuk have worked together as they starred in the 2002 "Success Story of a Bright Girl" followed by "Fated to Love You" in 2014, and the MBC Drama Festival "Old Goodbye," on the same year.
As for their upcoming K-drama, reports noted that "Family" is set to air in the first half of 2023.
