Honey Lee appears to be gearing for an upcoming action project.

The actress took to social media with a video where she was rehearsing physical stunts. With this, it seems like the beauty queen turned actress is returning to the small screen months after she gave birth.

On June 2022, the actress announced that she have given birth to her firstborn. Through her agency, Saram Entertainment shared happy news, saying that the actress and her non-showbiz husband have welcomed their daughter.

Five months after welcoming her baby girl, Lee Honey is courted to star in a saeguk or historical series, "Flowers that Bloom at Night," which will be her first project after becoming a mother.

In February 2023, the actress officially confirmed her appearance, alongside Lee Jong Won, where they play as lead stars.

Joining the duo to play one of the main characters are Lee Ki Woo of "My Liberation Notes" and "Doctor Detective."

In her new role, Lee Honey portrays a widow named Cho Yeo Hwa while Lee Jong Won took the role of Park Soo Ho, a subordinate officer of geumwiyoung during the Joseon Dynasty.

"Flowers that Bloom at Night" focuses on the double life of a widow who unexpectedly meets a skilled officer.

Helmed by Jang Tae Yoo of "My Love from the Star," "Lovers of the Red Sky" and "Tree With Deep Roots," Honey Lee's new drama is set to be released in the second half of 2023.

Prior to the release of her K-drama comeback, the 40-year-old star captivated the viewers with her remarkable series.

From being hailed as the 3rd runner-up for Miss Universe in 2007, Honey Lee made a name for herself in the world of acting.

Her first drama was the 2009 series "Partner" along with Lee Dong Wook which is also her first lead project.

It was then followed by "Pasta" with Gong Hyo jin, "Indomitable Daughters-in-Law," "Immortal" and more.

Interestingly, she proved that she is more than just a pretty face after joining the cast of "The Fiery Priest."

From then on, all eyes are on Lee Honey who won a Top Excellence Award at the 2021 SBS Drama Awards for her role in "One the Woman."
