Kim Sae Ron gets mixed reactions from the public after she posted an update on her Instagram days after her first trial.

The former child actress who was once dubbed as the "nation's little sister" is garnering negative feedback from netizens after making a comeback on social media.

To recall, "The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim" recently appeared in her first court hearing regarding the drunk driving incident that happened in 2022.

It was after the 22-year-old actress made headlines after smashing public properties, including traffic, light streetlamp, and power transformer, cutting the electricity of the neighborhood, and causing inconvenience among the residents and business establishments.

Exactly 10 months after Kim Sae Ron's DUI incident, the court ordered her to pay 20 million KRW or 15,000 USD fine for the damages.

This is separate from the ones she previously paid for the settlement and penalties due to the incident.

Kim Sae Ron's Instagram Shares a Glimpse of her Current Life

Now that Kim Sae Ron is on hiatus on-screen, she is working as a part-timer at a cafe.

On her Instagram, she shared a series of snaps at her new workplace. Wearing an apron and making beverages, she is now working at Mega MGC Coffee as one of their baristas.

However, it appears like the public have lost sympathy for Kim Sae Ron.

The 22-year-old actress gets backlash after posting her new life on Instagram.

Some netizens questioned the actress if she wants the public to feel bad for her and get sympathy while others pointed out it is unnecessary for her to post photos like these.

On one hand, others mentioned that Kim Sae Ron might not know the true meaning of "financial difficulties" as what she claims in court, as the public stressed that there are people living in "financial difficulty."

To recall, the former child star expressed her deep regrets about the incident during her first trial.

As mentioned by various outlets, she promised that the accident "will never happen again" and apologized for her actions.

Moreover, she also shared with the court that she had "quit drinking" and sold her car as she and her family are facing financial difficulties.

"I'm the breadwinner of my family, and it's been difficult for me to make ends meet. Please have mercy on me," she said.

Apart from financial struggles, Kim Sae Ron also faced a downfall in her career after her then-agency, Gold Medalist, didn't renew her contract.

In addition, she also stepped down from her role in the upcoming series "Trolley" and was replaced by Jung Soo Bin of "Juvenile Justice."
