Lee Sang Bo Details Current Situation Following False Accusation Against Him
In a lengthy statement, the actor spoke about his current situation and revealed the aftermath of the controversy. He said that he wanted to give an update since fans are curious about his current situation.
Lee Sang Bo called it a day that he "doesn't want to remember," referring to when news outlets named him as the person behind the drug scandal.
The actor first thanked fans who showed their support, saying that he feels "empowered" by the "care, support and encouragement" of people.
However, he got honest and shared that he is not doing well both "mentally and physically."
"Still hanging in there to overcome. Squeezing out the strength I have," he wrote.
Moreover, he tried to look at the brighter side of life and said "With those who had similar experiences as mine. For the powerless and fearless I dare. A little bit of hope exists."
Despite thinking of the positive, he felt a bit of desperation since he got dragged into the issue. He mentioned how the preparation and progress got canceled and is now "taking a big hit financially."

Lee Sang Bo Strongly Denies Illegal Drug Use Accusations
Back in September 2022, rumor sparked that an actor, who is in his 40s and made his debut in 2006, was arrested for the illegal use of substances.
With this, the public speculates that the actor in question was either Lee Sang Bo, since all clues point to his identity - for one, he is 41-year-old and had his first K-drama "The Invisible Man" in 2006.
Other names who got dragged to the incident are Lee Moo Saeng and Park Hae Jin, but both actors strongly denied the allegations.
As for Lee Sang Bo, local media outlet News1 confirmed to authorities the identity of the celebrity and reportedly found out that he is the Korean actor involved in the drug arrest.

In a report obtained by a different news portal, his Instagram account was switched to private following the news. Unfortunately, he has no agency representing him and has made no official statements about the incident.
Following the issue, Lee Sang Bo had an interview with the Korean media outlet YTN and personally denied the accusations.
"I've never used drugs, I've never seen drugs, and I've never been associated with a person who used drugs. I've never done drugs. What I'm taking right now is a tranquilizer," he said, as obtained by a media outlet, explaining that it's for his depression and anxiety.
The actor revealed that he started his treatment in 2009 after his father died. It was then followed by an accident that caused the death of his mother and sisters.
Seoul Gangnam Police Station then confirmed on September 30 that there were no traces of morphine in Lee Sang Bo's body after he underwent a urine test and hair follicle test.
